This is a no frills hotel, exactly what we needed. The uncomfortableness of the fold out bed was the only negative point, although my 10 year old still seemed to sleep well. The shower was excellent and the room well designed for the limited space. The breakfast was basic but very acceptable, with good scrambled eggs and croissants. It is... More

Hotel is situated practically in Times Square (thin road to cross), which means close to a supermarket, high end shopping and restaurants. As others have said there is am MTR entrance close by but a long walk. Stayed here with partner and child in tow. Upgraded to the superior room, which offered a bit more space for a the sofa... Clean, courteous & comfortable plus perfectly located for an overnight stopover (on our way to Australia). Although we arrived late we were able to find several restaurants open in Times Square (right opposite). Then right in the heart of things for shopping in Causeway Bay the next day. Good value & good location.

I've just spent 5 nights at the Holiday Inn Express, Causeway Bay. As always, the quality of product offering and services continues to be consistent and reassuring. There is a wide choice of hotels in Hong Kong and I have stayed in quite a number over the years. But I find myself coming back to this hotel ever so often.... More

Spent 16 nights here on family visit, vacation, and the Hong Kong Marathon. Chose this location because of convenience to shops, restaurants, and MTR. Location is second to none as you will be saving a lot of transportation time to and from various locations in HK (time is the most expensive commodity when you travel). This hotel offers you a... I ran the HK marathon over the weekend, and required a hotel that is close to the finish line (i.e., Victoria Park). Taking into account its very prime location, and the considerably spacious room size, I'd say this hotel is worth its price. It's right beside Times Square and the Causeway Bay MTR, making it so much easy to move... More

We always stay here in Holiday Inn Express Causeway Bay when are are in Hong kong. We love the location, just behind the Times Square. Lots of shops around the area. The room is decent in size, cant complain much when you are in HK. Overall a good value stay

Room amenities is old. Hotel location is near to MTR. The hotel made a mistake that we requested an Iron and Ironing Board. The staff entered our room when we are not around and without our permission. I really wonder what's the point of having a lock and a key card for the guest. No privacy at all and I... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
