We stayed here over christmas and new year. I chose this hotel based on it's location as we wanted to watch the fireworks on NYE and didn't want to have to get a taxi or use the MTR. It was perfect for that. It was also much cheaper than most of the 3 and above stars hotels i looked at.... More

The hotel is average not much to offer but is walking distance to everything in the hart of Whang Chai central Hong Kong. The rooms are clean and tidy and the breakfast is basic. Notice there is no heating in this hotel. Next time i would personally choose an other one.

First time visitors to Hong Kong. We decided to find a nice place in Wan Chai area due to its central location. The Fleming looked ideal for us because of the affordable price and the good connection to the Wan Chai MTR stop which makes it easy to get anywhere in Hong Kong in reasonable time thanks to the excellent... The location was great because it is close to the HK Convention Centre and it was perfect because we went to Hong Kong to celebrate the new year. We saw the beautiful fireworks at the harbour and it was easy to go back to the hotel. Just a 10 min walk. Our experience with this hotel is marred by some... More

After more than eight stays over more than ten years, the Fleming still has not lost its shine. In my last stay last week, the check in was prompt and service was good as always. I was a little worried about the room condition since the hotel was not new but I was pleased to see the room and the... More

We have stayed at The Fleming for 5 nights. This is a small (boutique) hotel situated right in the cntre of Wanchai. The reception staff are some of the best we have encountered and are always making that special effort. We were given a choice of 2 executive rooms and decided to select room 801 . These rooms are located... More

Check in was smooth....thats the positive. Dropped bags in room without looking ans went down to get into a taxi my friend was picking me up in and lift seemed stuck...had to call down and wait 10mins. Got down and a different front desk guy...went to taxi and forgot something in the room in the drama with lift. Went back... More

Stayed here for a few days in November. Booked quite late, and chose this for value for money. It's a great location, near the ferry, MTR and tram. Room was quite big, functional and well serviced, though the aircon was 'random' and I turned it off after the first night. Nice shower. Lacked the luxury of many of the other... More

Though I know there may be a strict definition of "Boutique Hotel", I would still like to call The Fleming a boutique hotel based on its concept and design. The location is not remote if you are familiar with roads of Hong Kong Island. There is an overpass next to its entrance. It caught my notice because usually I would... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
