Friendly and helpful staff. What a great idea to have two hour complimentary wine in the hotel reception, great for meeting people. Breakfast was of a good standard. Would stay here again for sure! Close to bars but far enough away from the bustle of Wan Chai

I stayed here recently on a business trip - overall it is good value for money and in a convenient part Wan Chai. The rooms are well maintained if a little basic. The layout is quite poor though so there is a lot of wasted space because of the poor design and floor plan. Having booked a non-smoking room I... More

I have been staying in this hotel for 2 days for leisure and that would be one of the best in HK in terms of service. Located at Wan Chai, it is easy to access to Causeway Bay and Central by MTR (5 mins walk to A1 Exit) or tram, and Tsim Sha Tsui by Star Ferry. Local restaurants can... More

PROS: 1. Service was excellent: friendly & attentive – before I left for the trip, I had a few queries on their bookings and invoices and they replied immediately. They had good coordination between their on-site staff and sales team, so the receptionist himself was knowledgeable on the booking issues I had voiced out on email when I arrived and... More

Large rooms is a luxury in HK and this hotel has it. We stayed in a 25 sq.m room with a modern bathroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. The safe was blocked but technician came within minutes and fixed it. Bed was firm and very clean. Breakfast selection was a bit limited but OK. Check in and out went... More

I came to HK for a conference at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibit Center in Wanchai. In the past, I've stayed in Sheung Wan or Tsim Sha Tsui and this is the first time I have stayed in what is probably considered Hong Kong's 'redlight' district. First, the area isn't seedy at all. The Fleming is nicely situated near... More

position excellent right near Exhibition centre and Wan Chai. seen better days its definitely a 3 star hotel masquerading as 4. Large rooms and corridors are gloomy, slightly scuffed and seen better days. all in all OK for budget traveller but only if at special prices. you can do better.

People and the hotel web page talk about this as a" boutique hotel' - if this means small rooms - worn out and dirty carpets - a cafe with a small high priced selection that is open for only part of the 24 hour day - slow laundry - and a price that rises as the hotel fills up then... More

This hotel is a small boutique hotel. Staff are nice and courteous. Room is not big but it's modern and clean, and it has everything I needed during my trip. Breakfast selections are not as many as some hotels, but I love it. They focus on Western style breakfast. Location wise, not too far away from MTR and there're some... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
