I was a little skeptical about this place having stayed in one before that was located in a tower block, but honestly i was pleasantly surprised. The 4 bed dorm was a little cozy especially with the toilet located inside the cozy room but we had great room mates. For the location and the price alone its an absolute must... More

My family always stay here whenever we go to hong kong. Great location and great staff. Stanley is very nice as well as night shift staff. My brothers and i can easily shop and eat around after dinner time just by ourselves. Mongkok is our favorite area and we have discovered another market at the back because of staying at... More

This is the second time I stayed at Dragon Hostel with a group of students and although you first think it is a bit sketchy, it is find and the location is excellent. The MTR is a 5 min walk away and from there you can go anywhere in HK in 15 mins. The rooms are very basic but clean.... More

I will start my review with the room. I booked a standard room for 4 persons. A double storey bed and a single bed. The room was kinda small and barely any space for 4 persons to move around but i didn't mind all that as i just needed a room for rest and sleep only. As for the bathroom,... More

This is a hostel in the heart of Mong Kok, so it's very ideal if you want to experience the local bustle and little eateries in the area and be on the streets until 1 am, then have a 5 min walk to your hostel to sleep afterwards. The hostel has good transport links with the airport as there's a... More

Typical hostel in HK, nice location. Cheap. Tiny rooms, but as far as I was just dleeping there, everything was fine. No towels included, have to buy or use your own. The window opens on the street, so it can be a bit noisy when you open it. Clean bed. Nice people living in ;)

We booked their standard room for 2 persons with own bathroom (with heater) and toilet, air con and TV. The room is quite small but I don't mind the space because we only use the room for sleeping and storing our bags. They also clean the trash bin everyday and their staffs are friendly and accommodating. You can also buy... More

This is our first unusual experience staying in a backpackers hostel at the urging of our friend and traveling companion on this vacation in Hong Kong. The Dragon Hostel is a very convenient place to stay for a few days in Kowloon as the public bus service from the airport stops nearby the hostel that is a short 5 minute... More

I stayed in Dragon Hostel in mid Jan 2015. I stayed in a private room with twin bed and attached bathroom. Location : This is the biggest selling point of this hostel. It is located in a building called Sincere House. It is hardly 2 minutes walk from the Mongkok MRT exit D. It has two entrances on either side... More

Staying in Mong Kok

Neighborhood Profile
Mong Kok
It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. One reliable rule of thumb: the smaller the place, the better the food.
