I was there in december 2013. That was the cold season with temperatures at about 10 celcius at night. My room had NO proper heater system. The owners claimed that the heater works on a "quota". Besides that, we not only had to WAIT for the water to become warm, the warm water that we eventually got would probably last... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for just under a month. We paid for a 3 person room as the standard double was far too small. The price was a little expensive but everywhere is in Hong Kong unfortunately. The room we stayed in was also small but not in comparison with the standard double. The room was simple with... More

This is not a hotel, or a guest house, or even a BandB without the breakfast. Across the street from the Jordan Hong Kong Metro station in Kowloon. It is a few rooms in what must originally have been a block of cheap apartments, which is now being run as a tourist accommodation business. Diffilcult to find, in a back... More

In Hong Kong you pay. Don't look at the price and don't look on the outside. If you only need a bed and a shower and excellent location in Kowloon. Do not look further. Jordan station is right at your doorstep. My family and I have used it several times and we keep on coming back. Who wants to stay... More

One word: **bedbugs** Unfortunately, I had to stay here when I first moved to Hong Kong for work. This place is terrible and the manager, Thomas Tang was the most distasteful person I met on all my travels around Asia over two years. The Filipino staff were pleasant despite their manager publicly, and regularly berating them in the reception in... More

A quick over night stay - rooms were tiny, but clean, cheap, and convenient. The service was fine, and the owners are accomodating, and speak english, overall no problems if its a short stay. the location is good, a little hard to fine, but right in the action

We had a very nice room, immaculately clean and modern, a small kitchenette with fridge and kettle which was very handy. Powerful air conditioning and a clean bathroom. The Jordan metro stop was very close, a 3 minute walk through the shopping centre opposite. I felt a little iffy about the staff (who had perfect english) - we were encouraged... More

Stayed there in July 2012 for two nights. This is not a hotel but a guesthouse. It costs as much as a hotel due to its special amenities. Nothing can be compared with having to kill cockroaches as you enter your room, and you don´t want to pay an extra price for them if you can get them free of... More

Now i have stayed at this location many times when i was visitng during 2007 - 2008. I was looking for a budget place to stay in HK that was clean, good location and safe. Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
