Metropark Hotel Wanchai is a clean and convenient place to stay. The staff is excellent, I was greeted warmly by the team and was attended to all my needs. During my stay, the staff provided excellent advice on what to do in Hong Kong. The manager Jimmy was exceptionally resourceful and accomodating. I will highly recommend Metropark for lodging.

I was a little disappointed having booked what I thought was 4 star....but was not. Great location for trams. As a solo traveller, I didn't feel the most comfortable or safest going out at night....did not go too far from hotel when dark. Had to use ear plugs to sleep due to noise from the street even though I was... More

The Meteopark is a cool place to stay in HK. It is a good compromise to the usual very expensive 5 star hotels closer to central. I only stayed for 1 night and the staff were very friendly and were great. The room was an upgrade and was modern and clean with as much space as I needed. I'll be... More

If you're looking for a modern, clean, convenient place to lay your head then this is perfect. Staff could not have been more accommodating (free upgrade, friendly and informative.) If however, you want wide open spaces, swimming pools etc then this isn't it, otherwise it's an ideal base for business or pleasure.

My stay was actually March 2013 but I could only go back to April 2014. I booked the most standard room but was upgraded upon arrival which is always a nice way to start a vacation! Everyone was courteous and ensured my stay was as comfortable as possible. I elected to not eat in the hotel as there were too... More

I have always enjoyed my stays here - the staff is friendly and service oriented and the rooms are well designed and clean. I want to especially praise Madhu from the breakfast room.. I have stayed here many times and am a member of their loyalty program. However, there are a couple of problems with the layout which I think... More

I recently stayed at the Metropark Hotel Wanchai for the second time. I am glad I returned. I am a professional traveler of sorts (journalist and travel business), so I stay in a lot of hotels, especially in this price range. I wish more places were like the Metropark. They get it all right, with a minimum of fuss and... More

Booked the Metropark Wan Chai months in advance for 9 nights. Connecting flight was delayed, originally had planned to check in early hours of the morning and arrived mid afternoon to be told on arrival our booking had been cancelled and there were no other rooms available. We were allowed to use the computers in the lobby to book another... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
