I stayed at the hotel jist 2 days back for a night. Location in middle of all activities in Wanchai is great. 2 3 min walk ro nearest MTR station. 2 stations away from central HK. We were able to xheckin at 11 am and was upgraded to a suite. Best part free minibar with wines scotch and others. Rooms... More

I have always enjoyed my stays here - the staff is friendly and service oriented and the rooms are well designed and clean. I want to especially praise Madhu from the breakfast room.. I have stayed here many times and am a member of their loyalty program. However, there are a couple of problems with the layout which I think... More

Dear Tripadvisor member - Ron_Tel- Aviv Many thanks for your compliments to our hotel staff especially Madhu and we are also taking note of your comments about the steps at the entrance and the staircases for which we have deployed extra manpower to assist guests moving along the areas. I recently stayed at the Metropark Hotel Wanchai for the second time. I am glad I returned. I am a professional traveler of sorts (journalist and travel business), so I stay in a lot of hotels, especially in this price range. I wish more places were like the Metropark. They get it all right, with a minimum of fuss and... More

Booked the Metropark Wan Chai months in advance for 9 nights. Connecting flight was delayed, originally had planned to check in early hours of the morning and arrived mid afternoon to be told on arrival our booking had been cancelled and there were no other rooms available. We were allowed to use the computers in the lobby to book another... More

I have stayed in the Metropark hotel many times and never been disappointed. It was a good hotel before the refit a couple of years ago and is even better since then. As soon as you enter the lobby you know you are in a place with style, it feels more like a high end bar than a soulless hotel... More

The room was in good size. Nice to have non-smoking room with no smell of cigarette. The airport shuttle service was excellent. Close to metro. Can easily walk to Causeway Bay. A convenient store is right next door. Enjoyed my stay except for the noise coming from the next door in the middle of the night.

The room was small as suggested by the photo when the booking was made. However, the room was nice and cosy. The use of space was very good and made the room look and feel bigger than it actual is. The room including the toilet and the shower was very clean. The staff were friendly and professional.

My adult children (son, daughter) and I shared a room here recently. I chose the hotel based principally on location. It is located on a main street, a few blocks away from a MTR (subway) system. Because of that, don't expect to sleep in. You will hear morning traffic from the street starting early. The Star Ferry Terminal is about... More

Dear Tripadvisor member – Coqcruiser Many thanks for your comments on Tripadvisor.com and your compliments to staff service and room cleanliness. We regret that there was traffic noise heard from the street as all rooms on lower floors were fitted with double-glazed windows of which was proved to be effective according to guest interviews. Therefore, the installations would be carried... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
