Based on the many reviews we read, we selected the Rainbow Hotel and don't regret it a bit! Hotel is very conveniently located, 5 minutes from Jordan MTR and/or 5 minutes from stop free Airport Express shuttle bus (Austin road stop). Hotel is clean, rooms have a very good sie for the city of HK, bathroom is good size and... More

We have stayed in the hotel for two nights. The staff is very friendly. We booked a twin room and helped us look for the best value room we can have. He even gave us 2 complimentary breakfast for free. On the second day,

We are pretty pleased with this hotel. The room was spacious and clean, bed is comfortable, the water pressure n temperature is good too. There is hot water kettle, hair dryer, safe, fridge and basic amenities are there. The toilet door cannot be locked, but it is fine for us. Wifi connection is quite good too. The breakfast is pretty... More

Booked a room at a fairly good price. Room service was quite good, room and beds were clean. Just turn left after you exit Saigon street at Nathan road and you'll see the mtr entrance (with a lift) to your left when you reach Jordan road. Free internet is provided, not sure about wifi.

the room is big. the front office knows everything and so helpfull (Louis Fong). the hotel is so near Jordan MTR, walking about 2 minutes and places accross NOvotel Hotel. There's a lot of street food around the hotel. The breakfast is not so good but still ok.

Very nice hotel, clean, quiet, close to the subway (2 min walk to the Jordan station) and bus to the airport. Location is very convinient, staff is friendly. WiFi didnt work in my room at all, but I had plenty of tv channels.

Location is good as it's 5 min walk from Jordan Mtr and we can take free Airport Express bus just outside Eaton Hotel. Room is clean and considered spacious in hongkong. It's clean and newly renovated. The downside is that pillows are soft and the soundproof are not good as we can hear people talking at the corridor and when... More

We spent the new year at hongkong just after the buzz of hongkong protest had died down. The hotel was perfectly situated far enough from the harbour to avoid the small rallies that formed near the harbour, but close enough for us to walk after weve enjoyed the revelry of the fireworks. The hotel is new and very clean. Very... More

When we booked for 12 nights, this hotel was posting a 4½ star rating and we had been upgraded to a Deluxe and I requested a room with a view. We were allocated a cramped room overlooking the squalid backs of buildings. I complained and the Receptionist promised us a very good room on the 15th floor, but it would... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

    Neighborhood Profile
    Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
