Well, I liked this small, trendy hotel 5 minutes walk from Causeway Bay MTR. The staff were really helpful and professional. They provide a (rather thin) breakfast for free; 24 hour coffee; free wine (sans nibbles - which is a sin by omission) 6-8; and have a library of DVDs to watch in your room. There is a good Japanese... More

This is one of the best hotels ive stayed in HK, its located at Causeway Bay, just minutes walk away from shopping area. Very convenient. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful to offer arrangement for our special occasion ie. cake and roses to be sent to our room prior to our arrival. Room is spacious and stylish, we have a... More

I have been staying at this hotel once a month for about a year. The hotel staff is excellent, to say the least. They are extremely helpful to organize or help me find anything in the city and very accommodating. As a Philip Starck Designed hotel, the rooms are whimsical and fun. The Suites are very spacious. Probably the biggest... More

My husband and I spent a few nights at J Plus Hotel. We used to stay in a traditional hotel in Hong Kong for our anniversary, but we were looking for something different this year. Our first impression about this hotel were full of friendliness and uniqueness. Besides, we were very excited to get a free upgrade from the Reception.... More

As my second time in HK, I really got the right choice. The hotel is in a good position, around 300m from the MTR station of Causeway bay. The hall has a great design and you can enjoy drinks (water, juice, coffee, ext) all the day. Rooms have a little kitchen and are very comfortable. Notwithstanding the crowded district, the area... I come here for business but it's also a great hotel/location for personal travel as well. The front desk welcomes you with open arms and by name if you've stayed a couple of times. It's a small boutique hotel - one that should be on SLH list. The suite is an apartment - larger than most in HK - and... More

First time stay with wife and son. Got a free upgrade from Suite to Suite Plus due to length of stay. Friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast spread looked great - Unfortunate we missed out since we ate out heaps. Close to Causeway Bay shopping and MTR.

Been hearing from our group of friends who found this great boutique hotel by chance when they were travelling here and without hesitation we decided to book our stay here too for our very first Hong Kong trip! No regrets, as it is strategically located amongst everything a tourist needs (seriously, pretty much everything). Not your usual standard hotel, but... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
