It's one of the best places to stay in Hong Kong. True value for money. Spacious & well designed rooms / toilets. Every easy to get in & out of the apartment. Private elevators. Lots of good restaurants around the place. Very close to MTR and the airport express bus stops right in front of the apartment.

This was ideal. Located in the fab Sheung Wan. Walking distance to everything. Right near the MRT. This area has many new fab cafes, restaurants and lots of shopping. Room is large and super cozy. Well laid out and equipped. Friendly staff. Daily service (except Sunday) - i stayed for one month and would easily return

This is my 3rd stay - most recent in May 2015. Prior to this was in 2013 and 2014 ie once a year. The place has been maintained well - still what I had seen in previous visits. Getting to the apartment is easy. From Hong Kong station, hop on the free shuttle service and have them drop you off... More

I really loved this place, well located, spacious, nice view, top modern design with all comfort. Nespresso machine. There is no restaurant or Hotel Bar, personally I don't care, as there are plenty around. I warmly recommend this place.

This is an Apartment-Hotel (with more emphasis on apartment than hotel). The rooms are clean, spacious, nicely designed, large closet space and have full kitchen plus luxury sheets/towels/toiletries. There is a sliding door diving the bedroom from the living room area (which is great when one person wants to sleep and the other wants to watch tv!) Reception is friendly... More

Stayed at the Jervois for a couple of days in November. Friendly staff, very helpful. Serviced apartments, not a hotel. Like you have your own little posh apartment in an authentic, up and coming area of HK. Good value for money. Will book there again next time.

i like to stay in small boutique hotels in central area and had seen this one advertised so thought I'd give it a try, photos looked good. Like - location, price and size of suite Dislike - it needs to be advertised as a service appartment, this doesn't come with usual hotel facilities, and the furniture was dark and tired,... More

The building where the Jervois is located was in what seemed to me a neighborhood full of quaint Chinese shops. There are several cafes and small restaurants. The 7-11 is right across a narrow street from the building, so is a McDonald’s. The MTR is a short walk, two small blocks away, less than a five minute walk. The apartment... More

The location is quite good in the middle of Sheung Wan, and the one bedroom appartment is spatious for HK. However, the room decoration is too dark and there is little natural light entering the room due to the proximity of the other surrounding buildings. Also, there is very little service in this appartment (rooms are serviced only 3 times... More

The Jervois is a nice service apartment not a hotel. I come to HK often and actually prefer 99 Bonham Strand. The HK sized room are similar, but Bonham Strand feels a little fresher, newer, and cozier.

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
