It's our first time to stay Indigo hotel although we stayed IHG chain hotels globally. As we wanted to taste "old" HongKong but won't stand with "traditional" Chinese style decoration, so Indigo was the one what we were looking for. Room is well decorated with mixture HongKong ink and modern design. We LOVE it and very enjoy our 3 nights... More

Hotel has a modern setup, fancy rooms, elevator wall changing colours, central location in wan chai, ok gym, free wifi, good breakfast with outdoor option. Nevertheless Room rate too high for what it offers. Wan chai ferry pier ca. 10min, subway 5min.

We spent a few nights here on the weekend just gone, and I’m still unsure how I feel about Indigo…some definite positives, and certainly good overall, but a few distinct “um…what?!” moments which dragged it down. PROS • Great location • Friendly staff • Neat rooms - we had a corner room in the 20s with more than a view... More

We travelled the first time with our two months baby and we were grateful to choose Hotel Indigo in Hongkong. We noticed the service is excellent from the moment we checked in until during our 3 days stay. The reception was very efficient in explaining the bills etc. Then when I inquired for specific items thebroom service always delivers fast... More

Stay here for a weekend and this is the first time I stay with Indigo, always heard it's modern and hip. As a gold elite member, I always recognize as one wherever I stay and always get my greeting from ihg before arrival, but not this time. So I sent a mail to ask for early check-in, not that early... we LOVED this hotel. The rooms are stunning, staff are super helpful and thoughtful - ie finding me a room earlier as I was jetlagged, leaving me a bottle of wine as a birthday gift when room service noticed my birthday cards up. The pool is wonderful and the rooftop deck a lovely retreat from the busy streets. There's a... More

I have wondered in the past what would merit my giving a hotel a 5 star review and this hotel is the answer. Granted I was upgraded to a room on the 22nd floor but, even so, it was outstanding. The room itself was one of the most stylish I have stayed in. Floor to ceiling windows, electric curtains, dragon... More

This place was clean, modern and had great city views. Check in was easy and expeditious. Only thing I could find wrong here was the broken hot tub on the roof, neither the hot tub or the pool had working heat. The sky bar was a nice touch to the hotel but seemed to be lacking the approachable guest experience.

I stayed at Indigo Hong Kong Island many times before and always love it when I return. The rooms are uniquely styled and decorated. When I come to the room the first thing I do is connect my phone to the B&O speakers and turn on the Nespresso machine. The location in Wan Chai is great since it is in... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
