THIS hotel is really small. The room,, the bed and the toilet/bathroom, They expect us to take shower above the Toilet. But its really clean n you just have to put sign on your door and they will clean it. They gave towel n toothbrush. But the location it sell was perfect. Right in the middle of Nathan Road. Just... We stayed for seven nights. The hotel was hard to find (you have to go inside the building and up the elevator onto the fifth floor) but we had seen reviews stating this prior to travelling so we were prepared and managed to find it quickly. The hotel is in a great location and the WiFi connection is good. Can't... More

Pros -clean -location -decorations Cons -staff does NOT speak english -super tiny, even compared to other guesthouse in the same building Guesthouse located in building with lots of other guesthouses. I would recommend NOT booking in advance but to go to Alhambra building and pick for yourself the nicest room. NOT using a booking sites saves money and there is... More

Very small rooms, no cleaning. Believe me, don't ruin your holiday and go this hotel. Staff plays that they can't speak english and they are rude. They try to cheat people. There came water from toilet chair to our room and they didn't give all our money back. We were very dissapointed.

We booked one room for two for five nights, as we initially found the hotel to be simple, clean and cheap. It also had good reviews, which sold us. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a fairly friendly front-desk staff, but were surprised to find that we were required to sign an agreement form saying that we had to give... More

We booked two rooms for 6 nights as the hotel, though small and simple -and cheap - had such good reviews. On arrival we were led to what I can only describe as windowless cells. In return for towels we were asked to sign a form saying we would give the 'hotel' a good review. It was hot and noisy... More

I am not sure whether the reviews on this hotel are real at all as what I experienced and saw in this hotel is not what everyone else seemed to experience. I saw a few bad reviews on this hotel but decided to try it anyway. I wish I never! First of all the pictures on this site that are... More

This hotel is very small as you would expect from the name of the hotel however we didn't quite realize how small. This hotel is a great place to stay to experience Hong Kong for a couple of day as it is in a great location to experience the best of Hong Kong! We really enjoy our stay here but... More

The hotel is very small but works well. I felt like a true HK'er during my stay. Great for backpackers and low budget travelers. The rooms are very small but the location is great, very close to nightlife and shopping.

Easy to get through shopping area - can walk to Tsim Sha Tsui and Mongkok but room is not clean enough - a bit bad smell, room is very small and hotel itself located I very old building. Also elevators are very old. I guess there are many nationalities living in this area.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
