I stayed at Ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan for 4 nights. The hotel is good with clean room and comfortable bed. The price is reasonable and value hotel. Good Staffs. Location is acceptable, easy to go around by MTR Sheung Wan Station approx. 10 mins walk and Tram in front of the hotel. There is Airport Express shutter... More

I stayed at Ibis Sheung Wan in November 2014 (see other review) and liked the location and room well enough to sign up for Accor membership and spent a weekend at the property in June 2015. The heat and humidity in Hong Kong made me appreciate the connectivity provided by the Airport Express H1 shuttle service which stops at Ibis... More

If you have stayed at Ibis hotels, you always know what to expect. Clean and comfortable at a very reasonable price. This location was great, with easy access to buses, metro, trolleys and close enough from central HK to walk to many sites. I would definitely stay here again.

We had two glorious nights in a room on the 30th floor with a magnificent view of the harbor. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out everything was perfect. The staff was friendly and efficient. The (typical sized for Hong Kong) rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. There isn't one thing I would change about... More

The Ibis is a great value way to stay in relatively central HK. It's a pretty ew hotel and everything is very clean and well laid out. Rooms are small, as you'd expect in HK, but plenty big enough for two if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep. Breakfast was good, and there's a Starbucks in the ground floor.... More

Dear DJ_Billy, Thank you for sharing your comments which brightens up our days! Apart from the great location, there are plenty of attractions near our hotel, for instance Western Market, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park, Man Mo Temple, and Hollywood Road may feast your eyes with an array of heritage, antiques and art galleries, another local gem in Hong Kong.... I stayed 1 night at the ibis. The location was handy to metro check in ( short cheap taxi ride or could walk) and could walk home from central entertainment area safely by myself. The room was large with a great view and very quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Cannot fault this Hotel. We stayed 12 nights, visiting family. Room was clean, beds changed regularly, safe and fridge in room were handy. Breakfast, bar and restaurant were excellent. What impressed us most was that all the staff were very helpful, especially as my Husband is in a wheelchair, nothing was too much trouble. Trams and buses stop outside, but... More

The location of the hotel is alright, as it is about 10 mins walk from the MTR, and has a tram stop just outside it's hotel. (if you are lazy you can take a tram to the MTR). From the airport you can take A11 or E11 and stop at Macau Ferry Terminal. Cab would cost you about 330HKD. The... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
