I stayed at Check Inn with a friend for a few days over Chinese New Year, couldn't have asked for a more perfect hostel for that time. The room was always clean and quiet, the building is a short walk from Wan Chai metro station, and the whole place has a cosy yet modern feel. Good bathrooms, and very helpful... More

First place ive been to in Hong Kong so not much to compare with. However, Im running a guesthouse myself in the Philippines so I know how things should be and this Hostel was perfect! Some guys were noisy at 3am the first night, just went up and told them to be quiet. Not the hostels fault though there are... More

I stayed here with 2 friends in the 3 person private room. The hostel is exceptionally clean (sheets, beds, bathrooms, common area). There is a good washroom:guest ratio with a good level of privacy. The location is pretty decent too, only a 5 minute walk from Wan Chai station. Can't beat this for the price!

We had an excellent stay at the Check Inn - the rooms are clean, lockers huge, bathrooms great, and nice common rooms with great staff in the main part! Like other hostels in HK, the dorms are split over a few floors (3 I think). The location is good, though a little way from the nearest MTR station and you... More

Check Inn HK is a very clean hostel with super friendly and helpful staff located in the Wan Chai district of Hongkong close to nightlife, public transport and all kind or attractions. The hostel spreads over two floors and has a couple of dorm rooms with up to nine beds. Don't expect spacious rooms (these probably don't exist in HK)... More

First time arrived, location is very nice... But you better take the A11 bus from airport... Cost you HKD40 and stop and Hennessy road, stewart road... And walk a bit the same way as the bus go.. Find mannings... And kwong wah mansion is beside the mannings... Staff was nice to me, very helpfull and fluent english.. They even recognise... More

This hostel is very clean which is impotant to note as Hong Kong is known to have some pretty horrible condition hostels. It is located very close many major attractions as well as a short distance from LKF (party area). It was a great place to meet great people. Many of the people that I net were expats or looking... My girlfriend and I stayed here March 2015 for two nights, and had an excellent time. The hostel itself is located in the Wan Chai part of Hong Kong island, right next to the nightlife and a few minutes away from the Chinese embassy. The entrance is a little difficult to spot unless you are looking out for it, and... More

Booked the hostel on arrival to HK for only 150 HKD. For that money you get a very nice hostel with friendly staff and good rooms (with big windows, which is rare in HK). People are interesting, all the necessities are here. Highly recommended! Location is amazing btw

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
