This is a probably the best hostel in Hong Kong, it's just a shame that the staff are so rude! Good points: - good sized bed with private curtain - Hairdryer outside room (although the one on my floor and the floors above and below didn't work so perhaps this isn't such s good point) - free tea and coffee... Good locations and set up. But difficult to find. It's just round the corner from where you expect. Walk up two flights of stairs then take the lift to reception. Bed are comfortable and a decent size. You get a key card locker for valuables which is useful. Other occupants of the dorms need to learn to be more considerate... More

Location for 1st timers: If you are a first timer to this place, the location can be quite tricky to find, especially at night. Suggest have some sort of gps with you or ask people where the NCB Bank is because it’s in the same building. Location in general: If one is interested in shopping and eating, there are bunch... Stayed here for 2 nights in August. Very well located in the busiest area of Hong Kong. Easy to commute by MTR or tram. Mini bus to Stanley market also right out the door. The street right outside have many nice restaurants from Ramen to Pizza and Japanese BBQ. The things I like about this hostel was their rooftop garden... More

Good location for shoppers as it's very close to shopping malls. Also MTR and bus station are near. Rooms are clean, big enough and fully equipped with an air con, a fan, an own locker, a head lamp and plugs. Price is reasonable, good place for backpackers. Massage chair in lobby room is very nice!

-- Housekeeping is so loud in the morning when they clean the room. They are on the phone or chitchat with each other, so sleeping in is not possible here. I tried to complain about it at the reception but staff didn't make eye contact and didn't care about it at all. Even worse, they started laughing! -- My suitcase... More

I stayed in a mixed 9 bed dorm room and loved it! the beds are comfy and all equipped with a head lamp and plugs to charge your things. The bathrooms are super clean and spacey too. The fans and aircon are always on so you're never hot .... which you need in HK! The best thing about staying here... More

The hotel has a good location coz its very nearthe shopping area. Its a budget hotel good only for backpackers. If you have a luggage bag with you, this is not the place for you. The reception area is at the 2nd floor and the staircase is narrow, no lift available. Worst is that the rooms in that building are... More

During my stay there, the staffs were friendly and helpful. Besides that, the location of Yesinn is strategic that you can walk to the Central and Sheungwan. The MRT and trams is also outside the hostel. Times Square is just within vicinity. To access the airport, there's a long distance bus service that takes around 1 hour. You can go... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
