Yessinn is a great place to stay in HK. It is located in a easy to reach area. We ended up in the women's dorm (because the other rooms filled up pretty quick), which was nice. Would recommend this for easy and cheap accommodations. Terry at the front desk was extremely helpful. Throughout our entire weekend he took the time... More

The hostel itself was fine, nice location, decent A/C in the rooms, and power outlets by the beds. I didn't stay much in the lounge, but it was always looked pretty crowded. However, beware of the dynamic currency conversion scam when paying by credit card. When signing the merchant's copy of my receipt at check-in, I was given the option... More

Large girl dorm with big lockers. Very clean and confortable bathroom. Great staff. I made a mistake when booking (i booked for the following book) but they managed to find me a room even if crowded. Great location. The massage chair is heavenly.

As a Traveler and a Travel Agent myself, I would recommend this hostel for it's convenience and practicality. It is conveniently located to the MTR, Tram and Bus stops, with shops and restaurants nearby. If you travel on a budget, this one suits it for USD25 a night you can get a bunk bed in a dorm-type room. The place... More

My friend and I initially booked for a hostel in ChungKing mansions, and promptly left the next morning despite already paying for 5 nights. Thankfully we found Yesinn - great location, spacious rooms that are cleaned daily, everything in a decent condition with good working aircon. The staff are friendly and there is a common room area, free computers and... More

Stayed in a private 3 bed room with two mates. Room itself was clean, air con was good and wifi very good. Hostel was difficult to find, but very secure with two passcode protected doors needed to get through before getting to our room door. The corridors leading to our rooms were very humid as there was no air con.... More

Overall a very good hostel. A bit expensive, but all hostels seem to be more expensive in Hong Kong. Great facilities and location. Common area is small but OK. Rooms are very nice, would definitely stay here again.

This is a cheap hostel and is certainly not a place that is ever quiet at night. It's a serviceable, modern hostel that is a very cheap, but only feels that way in that it's a hostel with shared accommodation, but it's nicer than many private rooms on Kowloon. This hostel surpasses other hostels due to its location on Hong... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Yesinn Causeway Bay, and we could not have chosen a better location in Hong Kong. It was so central to everything -- very easy to walk around or just jump onto the metro! Our private 3-bed room was located in the building opposite to the hostel in a very typical HK apartment style. The... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
