Limited service and cramped. Lobby is ver small. Staff is not so friendly. Location is great. Bang on the Nathan road. Rooms are clean but very compact. Washrooms are also very small. Housekeeping is prompt n quick.

This reasonably priced hotel is in an excellent location and has pleasant, attentive staff. I always stay there now that I have discovered it. Dining service tends to fluctuate but is always at least OK, often good. Never bad. Never great. C+.

Convenient - YES, Clean - YES, Courteous - YES Even though our room was facing Nathan Road, 4th floor, the traffic noise was not an issue at all. We always had our requests quickly responded to (additional pillow, water). We forgot to book non-smoking and the hotel was all filled so they sent someone within 5 minutes with 'spray' and... More

We stayed four nights for a family vacation in Hong Kong. The location is a definite highlight as it is in the heart of Nathan Road adjacent to a Jordan MTR Station entrance/exit and near the various markets. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The room itself is a bit small, but this is expected in... More

Just got back from a 5 day vacation in HK. I am glad my wife chose Shamrock Hotel. Great in terms of location. Just a few meters away from the MTR (Jordan Station) as well as the airport bus stop. it also very near the shopping district in Kowloon and famous must eat places. 3 stops by MTR you are... More

We feld in here to escape the monsoon. Lunch buffet is 12-2 and we got there at 2. There was some confusion but eventually found the buffet was finished but we were offered a lunch menu. We ordered, and probably because the chef was shattered after service, the meal was a long time coming, but we had time as we... More

We stayed 3 nights at Shamrock. What we like most is its location. It is next to the Jordan station MTR exit so very convenient to travel to Hong Kong island and other attractions. It is surrounded by shops & restaurants. The famous Hong Kong waffle shop is just cross the junction. Things we like: - Location is perfect. In... More

Being a regular visitor to Hong Kong, I've stayed at various hotels in the Jordan and Tsim Sha Tsui areas. Shamrock Hotel (next to Jordan MTR exit) and another near the TST MTR exit have been concluded as my 2 best options for convenience, comfort and amenities balanced-out. Our family of 2 adults & 2 kids stayed in the deluxe... More

We stayed there for about a week during the Christmas vacation. We were deciding between Shamrock and Caritas Bianchi before finally making a decision. Good things are - Excellent location: the Jordan station and A21 bus stops are few steps away. However, don't worry so much about location as Hong Kong is well connected with MTR and Bus. Hong Kong... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
