It's was pricey due to last minute, but the people there were kind and friendly. They helped me and guide me to tourist location. Room is kind of small, but it enough for two people. Bed is twin XL size for people and only WIFI in the lobby and 1st floor for free. Just look out for their deal!!!

The location was great because it's just beside the MTR. You can even walk to the harbour city. Staff was friendly. The buffet breakfast was average but at least it's buffet! Hihi! Free wifi on rooms. Only one block to the bus station going to airport. The back of the hotel have lots of authentic Chinese foods!!!! Great hotel! Great... More

The location of this hotel is simply amazing - just a few steps from the MTR Rooms are small ( as in all hotels in Hong Kong ) but was not a problem for us considering we only used it to sleep - was out all day exploring the city. The value for money is just great because you do... More

This hotel is situated 30 metres from the entrance to the Jordan MTR,at the Bowring St exit. This is very close to all the shops I like to visit. On checkin they told me of the time for breakfast, I advised them that I had an early flight and would have already checked out. They said that wouldn't be a... More

We enjoyed our stay here. It was really near the busy area of the city, all establishments that you need to check were just a walking distance. The service of the staff was also good. I’m not just so sure with the restaurant, because we just ate there for our breakfast. I like the free tea (green tea and jasmine... More

I like the location, very close to subway, and some spots are in walking distance. But just like other hotels in HK, the rooms are too small and the beds are too small. And the TV is too old... But the breakfast is pretty good, with a very high price...

Shamrock is one of my favorite hotels in HK primarily because of its location. It's beside Jordan MTR station so I can practically go to anywhere in HK easily; walking distance to shopping areas & some tourist attractions; & there's a lot of restaurants/food shops & convenience stores in the vicinity. Airport bus stop is also just across the street.... More

Spent 1 night at this location. The Shamrock hotel choose was based on location/price considerations and would like to say it was right choice. Just couple of minutes to get to the MTR Jordan station, close to the Jordan road (not expensive way to the Airport by A22 or even cheaper E23 buses) and all main Kowloon places are quite... More

The Shamrock is a great hotel. Staff were courteous and helpful. Everyone was very professional. The location right next to the public transit was great! Three of us shared a room with two double beds and had plenty of space. Our room was very clean and nice.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
