Amenities and service excellent and the best breakfasts that I've had in my life. So much variety and so tasty. Would definitely recommend this and would stay here again if I go back to Hong Kong. Walking distance to many places and nightlife/restuarants. Great spot!!!

Booked the hotel thru Booking.com just a few days before my travel. Got a great deal. Breakfast included with a smart phone [4G data] in the room for local sightseeing. Travelled by taxi from the airport to the hotel. Can also be reached by MTR as the Wanchai station [Blue line] is about 5 min walking distance from the hotel.... More

Great location. you can get to the airport via the A11 bus. staff are friendly, professional, speak english. a walking distance from Wellcome grocery, Khana Khazana indian restaurant and the Hong kong exhibition and convention center. The rooms are good. there is a demand for 500HKD (refundable) caution deposit when you check in. Rooms and toilet are very clean and... More

Disappointed with this hotel, Front door faces the areas refutse collection/processing building - not a pleasant street odour. The lounge/viewing room on the top floor (30th) is only open to business use. Lack of info/papers in the unwelcoming lobby. Few staff seem to be interested in being pleasant. Small room with a shower/toilet combo room that soaks the whole floor

The hotel gave me an upgrade, and the room they gave me is true is bigger as usual (any other room hotel in Hong Kong), but the rooms are too old (over coat the bathroom). The are is perfect in Hong Kong island inside Wanchai where thei is all the environment.

Recommended hotel to stay in Hong Kong. Adequate spaced room with expected hotel facilities and services. Bathroom was considered a bit small, but fine. Most surprisingly wonderful service offered was a smartphone for guest use (calls and internet) for free. Surrounded by restaurants and eateries and a short walk from Wanchai station (Exit C) Therefore, great place to stay for... More

We stayed three nights at the Empire in Wan Chai. The location of the hotel is great, just two blocks from the Wan Chai Metro Station, but, beware, there are three Empire hotels in Hong Kong, so make sure to give your taxi driver the full address. If you are arriving from the Shenzhen border in China, the bus that... More

Pro: good location, close to the office buildings, restaurants, and shopping areas. - Rooms are clean. - the handy phone was my savoir for the week. Loved it!! - friendly and attentive staffs. Cons - horrible humidity in the hotel hallways. I almost could breath after I stepped out of the elevator ( and I come from Taiwan). The room... More

The moment I stepped in I loved it...Fast check-in, received an upgrade to a suite (#818) with access to club floor lounge...so started off pretty well:) But the handyphone is the best!!!! Just so convenient to have a smartphone set up. It has apps for a tourist so you can find your bearings and sites and restaurants easier. Loved it!... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
