I stayed here for a couple of nights, and liked the location, but found the room to be a bit smaller than I had expected, especially given the price. Overall, for a business stop, it was OK, but I would probably try somewhere else in future.

Disappointing hotel that barely warrants the star rating it has been provided. Beware that the upper floors have been renovated however the majority of the hotel rooms are old and run-down like the rest of the hotel. Room had dirty carpet with stains all over it, bathroom was equally dirty with broken tiles and a shower head that was clogged... More

Just Look to photos. Couldn't even breath bcuz of moisture in the room. Stay away from this hotel. Ruined my day and we cancelled the rest of the reservation. Dont pick this hotel just bcuz of its location. Find some where clean and fresh.

This is a half century old hotel yet to be upgraded. Most staff are old too. Most counter staff are unfriendly and speak ' misleading ' English resulting miscommunications with us and other guests at the reception area.

We booked a family room (2 adl and 2 chd) two months prior to our coming for the New Year holidays. We booked it on Booking.com on a prepaid, non refundable rate. Unfortunately, our Turkish airlines flight on 31 Dec was cancelled due to bad weather in Istanbul that day, so we arrived one day later. I had an airline... More

This is a decent property located at Wanchai Road. The hotel offers comfy though small rooms, however would advise to book superior rooms as the basic category rooms are just "bed" rooms (literally). All said, the staff is very friendly and courteous . Breakfast is OK situated on 1st floor. All in all, a decent clean hotel situated close to... More

We booked a family room last minute for a reasonable rate for the holiday season; while the room is as pictured (newly renovated but barely more than two queen beds), it was more than sufficient for luggage storage and to relax at night. Free wifi a big perk. We traveled with two preschoolers and faired well. Breakfast buffet was inexpensive... More

I've been in a single standard room. Not that big but really nice and clean. Every room has a *Handy*: a smartphone with 3G connection and free local calls included in the price of the room. It has been really helpful while moving aroung HK. The location is also great. Close to a main street with bus and metro stations.... More

I was able to make a last minute reservation at a reasonable price. The room was a bit small but that is to be expected in HK at this price. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The shower had good pressure and was quite hot. The work desk was big enough for laptop computer work. The breakfast... More

I travel to Asia once or twice a year, and I usually stopover in Hong Kong for a night or two. I have stayed at about 4 hotels in HK in the $125 - $175 USD range (a low range for Hong Kong), and this is the best. First, they actually let me in early. I fly from California and... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
