If you're visiting Hong Kong your hotel room MUST have a view of the Harbour or don't bother going. Most hotels that do provide a view are posh & pricey but not the YMCA. This hotel is without a doubt in the best spot in Kowloon next to the classy Peninsula Hotel & Star Ferry at a fraction of the... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights in Jan15 and again for two nights at the end of Feb. We were satisfied with the hotel. The train from the Airport connects with a bus that stops at YMCA. This hotel is well located, near to ferries. All the staff we encountered were pleasant. To have a late checkout at... More

Great location to everything of interest....shopping, street market, restaurants, Victoria Harbour etc. They were very accommodating to our request of side by side rooms. Full harbour view of the "light show" is not worth the room expense. Rarely were we in our room to see this show and it was only laser beams on surrounding buildings. Hotel said the music... More

We were dismayed to learn that the hotel was in the YMCA but it was excellent. We had a stunning view of the harbour, and were right next door to the Peninsula Hotel with the same views but much more expensive. The staff were professional but friendly, the room was good with good facilities/toiletries etc. The Mall Café was excellent... More

Excellent situation in Kowloon, very close to ferries to H Kong island and all other transport facilities. Free bus from/ to train station . the staff is very professional and helpful. The breakfast is good, with fruits, croissant, bread, etc - very good continental breakfast. moreover the hotel is used for YMCA activities and other meetings, that makes the hotel... More

Not being first time tourists in Hong Kong, we really put a premium on how accessible our accomodations are to the places we frequent. Better to splurge on a room you can stay a few nights in than on a cab/taxi you sit in only for a few minutes time and again. That being said, the Salisbury gives you a... More

This hotel is the place to stay when visiting Hongkong! It's near The Star Ferry, Nathan Road, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. From the hotel receptionist, concierge to the cleaning staff-they were all helpful, polite and very pleasant! Reserve early to get a good deal. The rooms go quickly.

We have stayed here several times now. Located next to the expensive Penninsula Hotel it is conveniently located close to shops, transport and restaurants. An upgrade will get you harbour views. It has a swimming pool and a good breakfast. I note the room has been renovated since our last visit. My best indication is a slow closing toilet lid... More

Perfect location close to train and ferry. Everything we needed with good size room, facilities and very good buffet breakfast. Staff extraordinary - pleasant and helpful. Had four nights there in April and it certainly was a highlight of our stay.

Stayed here for 9 nights due to work. Was assigned a room with super harbour view so it was great. Room size average but the room was newly renovated so it was plush. Good size toilet so I'm satisfied. Knowledgeable staff really made a difference. Can see that many staff are loyal and have worked there many years so they... More
