The Royal Plaza Hong Kong is recommended for its location in Kowloon which is near to many shopping areas. Right beside the hotel is a shopping mall which had been renovated with many upmarket brands. The hotel's staff were very courteous and helpful while I checked in and out. There's a free shuttle to Tsim Tsa Tsui which is most... More

I went to this hotel twice in this year. Due to their location which was near and walking distance to Mongkok and Prince Edwards Station. It was walking distance to every night market near Mongkok. Once was during Jan 15, the service and atmosphere was great. However this time round, this experience was slightly different. When we enter the room... More

Lovely hotel, room has nice features (coffee machine, free bottled water and coffee pods, slippers and robe etc). Bathroom was HUGE in comparison to other hotels. Recommend this hotel for its location to markets, shopping mall and MTR.

Just came back to busy SH from my great trip to HK and really want to share my experience in the Royal Plaza hotel. As most of people planning visit on this city have already mentioned, accommodation here is quite pricey. So I have started to search for a place to stay quite in advance and had a few options:... If you are considering this hotel the first thing you will probably have noticed is the price compared to other similar hotels in Hong Kong. The main reason for this is that this hotel isn't on Hong Kong Island, but in the neighbourhood of Mong Kok. This in itself isn't a bad thing at all, but it is if you... More

Stayed for 4 days on a family holiday. It was my first time to HK and I'm glad to have chosen to stay at Royal Plaza. The connection from the airport was seamless. 20 mins to Kowloon station via the airport express train followed by a free shuttle bus (K5) to the hotel. The hotel is above an MTR station... More

Royal plaza is off the city area of HK thus we thought it might have been difficult to travel on the train with our luggage and thought of cabbing to the hotel. However to our surprise, it was one of the hotels that had free shuttle service from the airport. The whole journey took approximately 45min and we made it... More

Staying in Mong Kok

Neighborhood Profile
Mong Kok
It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. One reliable rule of thumb: the smaller the place, the better the food.
