We had a wonderful stay at Nathan hotel. The hotel is central to all the attractions and easy to access all modes of transport from the hotel. They can improve a bit with breakfast. Wonderful experience.

We have stayed at quite a few hotels over a number of trips to Hong Kong ,The Marco Polo , the Kowloon, the Park and The Ambassador [ which is no longer there ]The staff at the Nathan were really friendly and could not do enough for us , we were upgraded to a superior room on the top floor... We had a Nathan Grand twin room which was of good size and vary comfortable. I am much taller than average and the bed was a decent size with a choice of pillows. One very good touch was that each guest was loaned a free smartphine with free overseas and local calls and full internet service that worked throughout Hong... More

We arrived in the early morning and expected to wait for our room (official check-in, I believe, is 2pm). What we did not expect was the consideration of the staff as they took in our bedraggled and tired states. Over-hearing our plans to chill at the Starbucks, the manager on duty took the initiative to give us access to the... More

Was recommended by my travel agent based on value for money. Great Hotel in a very convenient location right in the heart of Kowloon's busy Nathan Road. The Temple Night Market is just a block away and two MTR stations are 5 minutes walk away. They are currently renovating which means that there is quite a lot of noise during... More

Good location, helpful staff. Was upgraded to the platinum floor due to renovation and it was awesome! Very clean rooms and facilities. Just 3 streets away you can find temple street which is so convenient yet also ensures that it isn't too noisy at night

Stayed in Hong Kong a few times and would have to say Nathan Hotel would have to be the best so far as it is just in a great location with friendly and very helpful staff. Short walk to the Metro. Short walk to Temple st Markets and a 3 stop bus trip to the Ladies Market. Great breakfast with... More

The Nathan Hotel is a nice hotel in a good location. The room itself was tidy and modern. Breakfast is good - plenty of options and a chef on hand to produce eggs to order. The restaurant is reasonable - again, lots of choice, all of it at reasonable prices. We spent some time in the Bali Bar on the... More

First things first, if your only knowledge of HK is from the movies, you'll be pretty taken aback when you emerge from Jordan MTR, about 5 minutes walk from Nathan Hotel. This is Kowloon and most of the buildings you'll see are, shall we say, pretty rough around the edges. No gleaming, futuristic-looking skyscapers here. Nonetheless, Nathan Road and Nathan... More

Nice hotel in a good location. Just 5min walk to Jordan MTR (train station). Received a complimentary upgrade to Queen room. This room is a decent size with the use of a cell phone, with free data and talk time included. Staff are pleasant and very helpful. Bathrooms is also big, which is unusual for Hong Kong. The toiletries provided... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
