As to the rooms, what may have looked glam 10 years or so ago, doesn't now! My room was upgraded according to reception on check-in, so would definitely have been disappointed with my original selection. My biggest gripe is the airconditioning. In March, it appears to have been set at 16C, and no amount of tinkering by the so-called engineer... More

We reserved a room for two nights for family trip to Hong Kong and on the date of departure my six year old son got sick with high fever and stomachache. I immediately took him to an emergency and while waiting I called the hotel to change the reservation to some future dates explaning the current situation, but the hotel... More

stayed there for 5 nights. awesome service by the whole team of the hotel. upgraded to deluxe room. Quite private although sit just next to Nathan road. to be honest, the bed and pillow are soft and fluffy. i wish is a king size. room are small but good enough for my preggie wife and playful daughter. We stayed here for 5 nights based on reviews of others... Didn't really blow me away to be honest. The room was ok - thats because we were upgraded to a suite on the 9th floor but even that was nothing impressive. Dont get me wrong the hotel was ok, clean, good location, close to MTR etc but for the... More

Our first nice surprise was that we had been upgraded to a superior room, which was beautiful. Big room, all amenities (plug sockets for every country), free wifi, free smartphone with unlimited free calls to Hong Kong and abroad with sat nav connection showing streets and giving details of places to go etc. Bathroom was beautiful with every toiletry imaginable... Stayed for 3 nights in Nov 2014. Very handy location, complimentary upgrade to a Platinum room. Quite spacious & clean, good amenities. Especially liked the complimentary mobile phone to make free international calls & used it's GPS for directions a few times as well. Close to the night markets & other attractions & best of all a Starbucks in the... More

Located in the great location, the nearest station is Jordan, one station away from Tsim Sha Tsui and opposite of Night Temple market's street. Near the hotel you can find famous local dining, Mak's man kee noodle (there is a very similar shop with the name Mak's noodle, make sure you go to the right one) Austria's dairy milk, Yee... More

This hotel is, of course, one of hundreds, if not thousands, in HongKong. So, this review is based solely on what it offered and my satisfaction with its customer service and its facilities. We were on our last four days of a three week trip to China so we were more or less in wind-down mode. The hotel is located... More

This is a particularly difficult hotel to review. Location: close to transport and only a short walk from the Airport Express shuttle bus stop. Service: the front desk were helpful. They pretty much looked after the baggage that my airline miss placed; handled calls from the airlines and kept my bags safe once they arrived at the hotel. Cleanliness: this... More

Good location with regards to surrounding shops / restaurants and MTR. The rooms are standard sized in relation to Hong Kong, however service has been one of the best that I have experienced in Hong Kong. When we were there, there had been a lot of rain and there was a damp smell in the room, a call to reception... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
