My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on 17-20 August 2014 We found the staff to be very friendly and professional. All 3 of my requests during booking were met. The housekeeping staff were excellent. We never waited any more than 5 minutes for ICE or Extra towels when required. Good location with lots of bars. Not really... More

Pros: Location great and it near the MTR which is perfect for getting around. Hotel located in so called "red light district" many bars night clubs around, the hotel is very central to the features of Hong-Kong, the subway and ferries. The staff were pleasant and the service not bad. Convenient price, I would say even very inexpensive. Cons: Small... More

I would rate it as a 3,5 star hotel. The best thing is the location, in the middle of Wanchai and very close to the Exhibition centre. So if you are attending a fair and don't want to pay too much at a 5-star, I recommend it. The room was small but clean, the bathroom tiny, the bed a bit... More

We stayed 2 nights in this very well located hotel. The first 2 nights we were in a wonderful room in the 13th floor, ample even for Hong Kong standards and very well dressed. We then travel to Foshan city and returned 2 days later and stay at another room in floor 9th. This one had a better view of... More

I often stay at this hotel when visiting Hong Kong. This time I enjoyed staying here more than previously. Maybe the room was cleaner and better serviced, even if it was a little on the old side in terms of fixtures and fittings. I certainly think so; the room cleaner was always around and very helpful. The room was well... More

The hotel is a 3 star at best, but its clear and friendly. Location is in the red light district so not for families. The hotel is well located for all other aspects of a visit to HK, restaurants, bars and shopping.

I stayed here because my preferred hotels were not available, but I didn't regret it. The Wharney Guangdong is on Lockhart Road -- made famous by Suzy Wong and the last hooker strip in Wanchai. Despite the bars and the girls, the hotel itself is a perfectly respectable, standard business hotel. I would say "reliable" is the overall word. Free... More

The hotel foyer is modern but the rooms are less so. Small bathrooms, small rooms, very firm mattresses...... the rooms were reasonably clean and relatively comfortable. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Convention Centre over a walk bridge (not many signs directing you towards the HKCC) and when heading out on foot early morning (7am) or... More

I booked this hotel as we were able to book a triple room (with 3 beds in) which saved us a lot of money by not having to book multiple rooms and then instantly regretted it when i read the reviews on this site. I neednt have worried as The Wharney was perfect for us, We arrived really early and... More
