This is a good economical hotel near to the MTR Wan Chai and tram stops. You will see the notorious Lockhart Road bars and their frequenters but as long as you're ready for it you shouldn't be shocked. It can get loud at the weekend but I was wide awake at 5 am so noticed it. Lots of 7-11 and... More

This hotel is fine, well located and clean. The staff are friendly and efficient. However, I was on the 13th floor and could still hear all the noise from the streets below (well up until 4 - am ) WITH earplugs. As well, the walls are paper thin, so people talking next door, using the shower etc makes you feel... More

Location is good. Rooms are small and pokey and the service is about ok. For the price it is about fit for purpose. It's not bad value. On the plus side the location is excellent. The staff are friendly - but the place is a bit tired looking and in need of a revamp.

Position In the Wan Chai Bay quartier, close to the Hong-Kong metro. The good thing is that is one of the hotels that has connection with central station with shuttle. The quartier has a lot of restaurants and bars and during the nights the prostitutes from the street enter the hotel to use the lavatory. Externals Externally the hotel is... More

I never knew but this hotel has suites....who would have thought?? I stayed here again and got upgraded to one of the newly renovated suites...Back in March I stayed in the Executive room just across the hall and that was nice. This time, the suite...I think the best value for money accommodation in Wan Chai. I loved it. A bathroom,... More

Pros: - Decent wifi, even fast at times - Comfortable beds (on the firm side) - location*; close to Wanchai MTR station and good places to eat Cons: - location* (see below) - No outlets near bed for charging phone - No shampoo?!? Maybe this was a housekeeping error - Hallways are very poorly lit. If you're someone concerned about... More

The staff were helpful and friendly. Plus point was the free smart phone we were issued during our stay which had free local calls and free international calls to certain countries, and free unlimited wifi. Its a great location just minutes walk to Wan Chai MTR. Yes it gets rather colourful at night, being in a red light district but... More

The location in the heart of Wanchai is hard to beat, however the property is dated and needs some major sprucing up in the rooms, floors and service departments. The floors are soo dark that you can hardly read the room numbers, rooms are still furnished with the standard designs and furniture from the 70's (1970's I mean), and the... More

Pretty ok hotel with a short walk from MTR. Rooms were on the small side and executive floor was fine but like a standard double with good quality. The lounge was very poor, there was tea coffee and just some fruits and very little of any snacks. The gym was sufficient enough although not one of the greatest, but good... More

Prime location in Wan Chai close to metro and Hennessey Road bus stops. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The wifi situation is a little weird but adequate (one device per room allowed on the hotel wifi, but you can hotspot the in room 3G phone to support additional devices). We got a great deal online 3 nights before arriving,... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
