4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed here for 6 nights, the hotel is in a great spot and the staff were helpful. Doesn't look very central on the map but it's only a short walk to a stack of decent restaurants and the MTR station is just around the corner, which in HK is incredibly useful as you can get almost anywhere with the MTR... I was here just one night on business but was content with the hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the location is very good. Within a 20 second walk of McDonalds if you need that fix, or many other good quality restaurants nearby. A nice, old Chinese temple is a short walk away and worth visiting. Although... More

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Soho in Hong Kong for a duration of 4 nights. The hotel is well located in Hong Kong, very close to Sheung Wan metro station and about 20 minutes by foot from the business center of HK. Rooms are quite new and very clean, however they are small. The hotel is very... More

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Soho (HIE) for three nights on holiday. We generally enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel. In fact, just a few minor deficiencies kept me from giving this hotel five stars. A detailed review follows. The HIE Soho is in a great location just to the west of the Central... More

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff at the front desk were very helpful and polite! The breakfasts were bountiful with both western and Chinese options but they were also filled with people. However, there was always a spot to sit without a wait. We stayed for four nights in a queen size harbour view room on the... More

HI Express Soho was perfect for our 5 night city break. We wanted somewhere comfy to sleep, near to a MRT station & with free breakfast. From the airport & back again we did the airport express with the free shuttle to the hotel. This was super easy to organise & was very quick. Plus it meant we didn't have... More

I stayed at this hotel about a year ago, and it was the same economical experience. I didn't have any problems, but the linens did seem worn out--there were holes in the sheets and towels. The breakfast buffet was underwhelming and a bit crowded. The bus to the airport express train stops right around the corner. I enjoyed walking around... More

We stayed in a harbour view room at the Holiday Inn Express, Soho. Good location, close to the Metro and within walking distance of many attractions. The room was fairly clean (other than some old carpet). The bathroom was clean and well laid out (the door to the shower was also the door to the bathroom, pretty ingenious). This is... More

What a great hotel. It is centrally located in the center of real Hong Kong close to the Sheung Wang metro stop which was about a 5-7 minute walk and if you arriving from the airport, the airport express shuttle bus will drop you off right next door to the hotel and it is the first stop. The airport express... More

right at the center of real Hong Hong. The streets around are those of typical you see in pictures about Hong Kong. You will find countless restaurants and shops once you step out the hotel door. The room is reasonable sized by Hong Kong standards. A small complain is breakfast area is crowded. But I suggest you skip the free... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
