Stayed there 1 night. Room was very small but nice. The worst thing was the breakfast. First the breakfast area was too small for such a big hotel (over 30 floors). There was a long queue. Second - if you don´t like chinese food for breakfast, your only option is boiled egg and some toast. The price per night was... More

The staff gave me a nice welcome upon checking in, and I was given a high floor “harbor view” room, Nr. 3310. The elevators were speedy and I never had to wait long at all, even with 33 floors separating mine from the lobby. The room as small but good. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, no... It isnt a very big property but the kind of facilities offered makes it a perfect stay for hong kong. Rooms were very clean and all kinds of facilities were provided which are generally not seen in reputed hotels. Located at a prime location , it has many fast food joints and restaurants at a walking distance. Also it is... More

Location Very nicely located hotel. MTR just at the back. Restaurants all around including a 24 hrs Mc Donald. A 7/11 right across. Hotel Check in for me was a little messed up. Their manager Tommy did a fantastic job and sorted us out the next day. Rooms are small but I guess thats what you expect in HK. Enough... More

This is not a fancy hotel (it is a Holiday Inn Express after all), but it provides everything you would need for a place to stay in comfortably just to sleep and put your stuff in. This was perfect as I did not plan to spend much time in the room, as this was my first visit to Hong Kong... More

Pros: 1) Location: easily accessible by cab or bus to/from HK airport via Airport Express; Sheung Wan MTR exit A2 is only three blocks away 2) Amenities: self-service laundry area; dining area where you can have your takeaway meals 3) Room: comfortable but small compared to other HIE that I have tried (good by HK standards); would have given it... I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I would gladly come back any time. The location is great: Short walk to the Mid-levels Escalator restaurant area, the shopping area around Exchange Sq (central bus station), the IFC Mall, Airport Express, and Star Ferry terminus. There are a few restaurants in immediate proximity, also a supermarket and a Mc Donald's... More

Located a 5 minute walk from Sheung Wan metro. Good location for business, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Friendly check in staff. Hotel has a good Thai restaurant as part of the complex, although a bit pricy. Wifi good. Rooms quite big for HI Express, with usual comfortable bed, clean comfy linens and nice towels. Aircon good. Room... More

I booked this hotel because I needed a place to stay after I took my kids to the airport. I took the airport bus to get back to Sheung Wan and it is a short walk from the bus stop. It is also a walking distance to Sheung Wan MTR. There’s a lot of local eateries and also western food... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
