Stayed here for 2 consecutive nights in a Deluxe room with a king-size bed located in the 17th floor - enjoyed the facilities, services and ambient. PROS - (1) Straight transport from HKIA to the hotel location by Citybus A22 - we found this is a hustle-free public shuttle for only 4 stops around 30 minutes in morning busy-hours [note:... More

I keep coming back to this hotel for the four reasons, 1) the service is great and thanks to Peter Kan for this, 2) it's a smart boutique hotel with rooms with great views, 3) it's conveniently located in the Jordan station of Kowloon near the MTR, and 4) the 29th floor rooftop terrace (Horizonte) is fab.

We stayed at Madera Hotel for 5 nights, having reserved a Deluxe King room via direct email. The CSO who attended to my email queries and reservations is very professional and patient with my never-ending queries. Location of this hotel is perfect. Airport Cityflyer A21 bus stops just outside Nathan Hotel, and it's just a short walk from the bus... More

This hotel is just less than 5 mins walk from Jordan mtr station. Lots of eatery nearby and super convenient to get to other locations in Kowloon. To get to Hongkong Island, it's just a few train stops away. The room I had (1902) was quite small but big enough for two persons with two big luggages. There are only... More

While we only stayed one night as part of our stopover the hotel for us was great. We chose it based on ease of access to and from the airport and TA reviews. We took the airport bus (HKD39) and the hotel was a few minutes walk from the stop. We also noticed that the Jordan MRT stop was equally... More

Firstly, the hotel was flexible and allowed us to change because of some personal family matters. Location: was convenient and train is a stone throw away. If you need a cab, the hotel will be very willing to hail one at the main road. It was near to a variety of restaurants that service different food. Hotel: we were greeted... More

We stayed at the Hotel Madera recently and were very pleased with our choice. As others have mentioned, it is in a very convenient location (about 2 mins walk to the MRT) to go just about anywhere. The rooms are small - this is Hong Kong - but reasonably well laid out. Bed was comfortable, the cell phone included with... More

We found this place great to get around. I am not going to repeat all that most say on here. The one point I would make is, we were on the 7th floor and you do hear a lot of road noise. If you are a light sleeper or jet lagged this is not good. Not sure if it is... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
