Location is ideal for backpackers, budget travellers, city explorers and business travellers. Right on the most happening Nathan Road. Transportation is no issue and Chunking Mansion location is extremely convenient. Rooms are not small but tiny. Please remember that accommodation in Hong Kong and Kowloon is most expensive. For budget travellers, this hostel is what they need in right budget.... More

The room itself is tiny but sort of clean. Hot water worked but only for like 2 minutes then got cold. Safe didn't work. TV didn't work. Remote was stuck behind the desk and we couldn't get it out as the desk was bolted to the wall. We told them on day one but they never fixed. Air conditioning did... More

The hostel is located in the infamous Chungking mansions, where the lobby is full of shops and people trying to sell you things, sometimes aggressively. We didn't find this a big problem as we were only there for one night, but if we hadn't had a male friend travelling with us, we would have found this more worrying. The hotel... More

I was unfamiliar with the Chungking mansions when I booked this hostel and if I had known what they were I would have booked elsewhere. For those that are unaware, the Chungking mansions are a group of high density, low rent residential and commercial complexes located within the TST area of Hong Kong. There were always plenty of men standing... More

The first night I stayed here I was able to lock in a super cheap price at $20. When I went to extend my stay though the prices were back up to $50. If you can grab it online when they are having offers do it! Tiny, YES, but that's Hong Kong. It's a great, clean stay, with a wonderful... More

Our stay in Day and Night Hotel was just ok. The space is very cramped, but I think that’s a norm in a budget hotel in Hong Kong where the cost of living is pretty much high. There’s no table inside the room if you want to eat there. But at least it’s clean. We don’t need a huge and... More

I stayed here recently for three nights, was very put off by the main entrance to Chung King mansions, only to find that on the 10th floor there was a lovely little hostel 'Day & Night'. When handing in my printed booking I was told I had accidentally booked in for the week after (completely my fault for booking whilst... More

If you are on a budget, this place is it. Clean and cozy. The staff and owner are nice...way too nice than the Chinese owners from other hostels (not being a racist here but I can really tell from my experience). The owners (not sure if they're from India or from the middle east) are hospitable and I think they... More
