First of all, anybody who books a room in one of the numerous guesthouses in the massive complex which is the Chungking Mansion (or Mirador Mansion) should do a little background research on the peculiarities and environment of this place in order to have a better idea of what to expect. I often read negative reviews which just stem from... More

I booked a dormitory and made a mistake and missed 1 more bed. The staff was so kind and just inform me to do the payment when we arrive instead of going over the online booking. The room was small but clean and decent. Very accommodating and kind. Location was perfect. Right in the middle of everything. Will definitely book... More

On my first out of the country tour, this is where we chose to stay. First, having a tight budget, this hotel is really affordable. This was referred by one of our friends as well. Second, the area is really near on the Tsim Sha Tsui train station, walking distance to the avenue of the stars, and all other bus... More

I booked on Booking.com and chose the wrong room. The one I wanted has free cancellation. I booked in Oct for a mid Jan 2016 stay. I called Booking.com right away to cancel, 2 days later they told me that they were going to charge me 100% of the cancelled reservation. So now I have to dispute with my credit... More

We had booked four nights in their four person room. The room was so small that we had to book an extra room. Heard gunshots the first night and were offered drugs in the lobby and ate the cost and found a better place for the other nights. The building is extremely sketchy and run down. There is a Wikipedia... More

Don't believe the pictures, the rooms aren't as spacious as they look. We arrived at check-in time but they didn't give us a room until later that evening because the guests in our room haven't check-out yet. Everything about the room is basic. Nothing special and certainly nothing luxurious about this hostel. There was only 1 elevator serving the entire... More

This hostel and its management deserves a bad review as it cancelled my booking without noticing, and let me in a difficult situation, having to find a room at 10 pm. I was informed once I arrived. Other people were in the same situation at the same time. The lady didn't help me finding a room and didn't seem to... More

overall if you are not used to people always trying to push sales on you, this is a horrible location. but as long as you tell the people downstairs the building that youre not interest and if you have questions about HK they are nice enough to help you and not cheat you. Hotel it self.. I would actually consider... More
