A tiny room and even tinier ensuite but very clean, with TV and air conditioning. The "kitchen" was a microwave and electric jug in the corridor but with free coffee and filtered water. Always a queue to use the lifts. It was on the 16th floor of a large building that had food shops on the ground floor. We wouldn't... More

The building the hostel in is horrible with people hanging around at the entrance and the lift being a pain to use to get to the hostel as they are tiny and was a bit difficult to find at first. The hostel was clean and basic, would only stay by myself as if there was another person there wouldn't be... More

we booked for a double room but a family room of four was given to us, thank God that we do not need to pay more for that. The staffs are friendly, the water heater gives a constant heating temperature, and It's only walking distance from MRT and bus station, it's very convenient tat we did not need to carry... More

Surrounding area is a bit scary, especially in night time, and it`s not very easy to find entrance to the hostel itself, then, ladders don`t encourage at all (if you prefer not to wait too long for elevators), but the rooms are nice and safe - rooms area is separated from other part of building. Very small, talking about separate... More

The hostel entrance is dingy and you see people who stay up late at night my only guess is they sell drugs or sex. very tiny elevator. very small corridor. hostel staff are in house clothes and they don't even comb their hair. Though they are friendly, easy to talk to, and assist you. Toilet is just right. hot and... More

If you have followed my reviews you know that most of them are quite favourable. This will not be one of them. During the booking I knew that the place will be a hostel, which would have been ok but.... We arrived quite late and made our way up to the 8th floor as described on our booking. After departing... My boyfriend & I stayed in Tokyo Hostel for our 7D6N trip to Hong Kong. Chungking Mansion was just across the road from Exit E of Tsim Sha Shui MTR Station and iSquare Shopping Centre. Our room was sparkling clean, & the only sign of usage was the off-white sheets. (Not to worry, by off-white I mean the slight discoloration... More

Stayed here for 2 nights after backpacking around mainland China for 2 weeks. After staying in some very good value hostels for less than £20 a night (private single, en suite), once you hit HK the quality drops considerably for that price range. I wouldn't recommend any of the Chungking or Mirador hostels to families or those who are used... More

I booked a twin room (one room, two separate beds) in advance for myself and a companion, but when I got there, I was given a double room (one room, one bed for two people) which was a downgrade as the double room was cheaper than a twin room. There was also a disturbing incident that happened during my stay.... More
