For a single, open-minded budget traveller, staying at Chungking Mansions is a relatively comfortable experience if you are aware of certain details. What to expect at virtually ALL Chungking Mansions hostels and hotels: moody Pakistani guys; tiny rooms; shower on the toilet; no view at all (your window probably will be very, very high and small); very long lines at... This review may already long overdue but the dates doesn't matter because we never got our accomodation anyway. We booked our stay at Australian Guesthouse weeks before our trip and we already paid our stay in advance and in full. I even talked to the owner over the phone from the Philippines just to confirm that we were definitely coming.... More

My friend booked 3 family rooms (two double beds) via Booking.com in Australian Guesthouse for one night for 13 people. However when we checked in, only one family room is available. What happened is they gave us 5 rooms (1 family, 2 deluxe double and 2 standard double). Unfortunately, my roommate and I got the standard double which is of... More

Everything everyone says on both sides about this guest house is true BUT surely you travel to experience different cultures and have different experiences and its how you perceive what you receive and be very clear what you are booking. The rooms are small but exactly what is shown on the photos. They are clean and its amazing what they... More

The important stuff. Location: was in a great location for easy access to where ever you wanted to go. Quietness: I'm a light sleeper and had no trouble sleeping here. Safety: felt as though my belongings and myself were secure here. Then the other stuff. Staff: great staff - very helpful - were kind and had a bit of fun.... More

The best way to go there is take the airport train to where the airport shuttle bus station is, and ask the driver to drop you off in Kowloon station and then walk like 5 minz to the where the hotel is. Rooms are very small but clean and the staff are helpful. The location is perfect, you can walk... More

The entrance is a tucked away behind buildings on Nathan Rd. You know when you're in the right building when most people are foreigners trying to sell you rooms or other stuff. The guesthouse...
