GOOD - - location, lots of food around, around the area -the milk tea, chicken rice, porridge, noodles and bakery are nice. but I don't like their lotus leaf rice and egg tarts. - transportation, closest to 銅鑼灣 Causeway bay mrt station, exit A but I couldn't find exit A, I always end up in B2 which is also nearby. -... Hotel is affordable - for the price, we got a triple "Racecourse View" room which had a lot of space; just that there are only two double beds in the room (would have preferred three separate beds). Bathroom is okay although the construction of the sink is kinda weird because there is little room for you to put your hands... More

Sure, the location is pretty good and the price is reasonable. The hotel is also fairly clean and my room even had a little balcony. But, there were some faults... Firstly, the cleaning products they use give the whole hotel an odd smell. Also, they provide you with a fridge and kettle, but nothing to eat your food with. Finally,... More

This hotel is great if you want a cheap hotel, it is quite close to the metro station and very close to the race course. The rooms were morden, however the reception could be done up as it doesn't reflect the rooms. Also the staff are very slow and you can be waiting for ages at reception. The cafe in... More

Me and my husband stayed in this hotel last night on our way to Thailand. Because we had a long flight (from LAX to Taiwan and HK), all we needed was a bed, but that bed.... It was a little short and I'm not the tallest girl, just 5'7, but noticed a couple of times, that my feet were over... More

I came to HK for a business trip. This hotel was claiming to be a business hotel. ITS NOT!! I had so much trouble with the wifi with multiple devices. The staff would not help. I told the staff I had to leave to hotel with wifi working and they would not even refund me for the second night. If... More

We stayed here for 6 nights. While the rate we paid was reasonable for the quality of the hotel and the location to the MTR, the quality of mattresses for an extended are much to be desired. Both my wife and I who are early 40's ended up with considerable back pain on multiple nights as a result of the... More

We booked on a website that doesn't allow you to see the name before you agree to it. It was supposed to be a 4 star so we went ahead with it. Upon arriving the front desk staff were incredibly rude. We had six bags, no one to help, and when I asked to use the luggage trolley the just... More

Contrary to the earlier reviews, we found the hotel quite nice. The interior was pleasant, service was fine. We got the room changed (quickly) as we requested double bed room. The facilities were all functional and pretty standard. No doubt it enjoys excellent location. You can get a direct tram to central, from the stop right next to hotel. Having... More

This hotel had a look and feel of: 1) the minimal amount of thought and effort needed to convert a building in to a hotel. 2) the minimal amount of maintenance to keep the hotel in shape. At one point I was thinking "how could a TV be so dusty?" I really shouldn't have to have those types of reactions... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
