Hotel was easily accessible with airport bus A11 to and from the airport (hkd 40 per way). Family room with King sized bed and 3/4 bed comfortably accommodated all 4 of us. Room and bathroom very clean and neat. Morning and afternoon snacks served is very basic with muffins, tea, coffee, juice and yoghurt. Location was excellent. Walking distance to ding ding tram,... Having stayed at couple places in HK, Bauhinia Central remains the best hotel stay so far. Well, we all know, most hotel rooms in HK are small and super cramped. What I love about Bauhinia Central is its size and comfort. You don't feel too claustrophobic after returning from a long day of shopping and sightseeing. I really appreciated that.... More

Across the street from the Four Seasons Hotel, the Bauhinia offers all of the amenities of the City Center at less than 1/2 of the price. The boutique hotel has only a small number of rooms and can be hard to book. The space is small by US standards, but average for Hong Kong. The furnishings are plush and comfortable.... More

The hotel is located right next to Exit B of Sheung Wan MTR station. McDonald's, Starbucks, local restaurants are just steps away. It is also very easy to walk to Soho, Lan Kwai Fung and Central. The room is small as many hotels in the city, however the rooms are renovated and are pretty clean. Good bathroom shower facility. Service... More

Excellent location - with lots of places to eat and a 7/11 conveniently located down the road. We arrived there, and got confused by the serviced apartments next door, but were re-directed. It's right close to Sheung Wan MTR station. We were impressed with our room - very spacious for Hong Kong standards. Bed was huge and very comfortable -... More

Good option near HK station (10 minute walk) or sitting on top of Sheung Wan station. Buses including HK style trams only 1 minute away while laundry street about 3-4 minutes walk away. Only small number of rooms but very spacious by HK standards, prices for rooms tend to vary quite widely depending on the vacancy rate more so than... More

This place is in good location, especially for those who plan to go to Macau or travel with Airport Express as it's around 5 minutes walk to ferry terminal and 8-10 minutes walk (via walkway) from Hong Kong Station The bed and pillow is very good, the room (on the 3rd floor) I stayed is quiet (even facing the Des... Arrived here on the ferry from Macau, this hotel was ideal, situated a short walk from the ferry terminal. I stayed for one evening while on business, room was clean, functional, not too small, great shower, less expensive than one of the budget chains that I stayed in at close proximity a few days later. Would highly recommend this for... More

The hotel is known to be one of the best (cheapest) places you can book that is super close to central and sheung wan station. Very clean bathrooms and beds. Plus! Staff is uber friendly. There are a lot of shopping stalls nearby and coffee shops as well. It's right across the ferry terminal and the area is quite silent.

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
