We stayed for 2 nights on an extended layover. The Mercer was as pictured in reviews and websites. Rooms were modern and although small still felt cozy, not cramped. Fine for 2-4 nights, may be an issue for longer with a couple. If you are staying alone, you will be happy for weeks. It's is not a long walk to... More

Stayed for a night at the Mercer, while attending to some meetings in the near vicinity. Though the street looks cramped, like most placed in HongKong. The hotel rooms were a surprise, bigger than expected. Well furnished and had a modern feel to it. Internet was fast and bathroom was ok too. Breakfast was ultra-limited, with this being a service apartment,... More

I stayed here for five nights in March 2015. The hotel (or rather, serviced apartments) is modern, clean and furnished to a high standard. The location is ideal for Central, with the popular destinations of Soho and LKF being no more than 5-10 minutes walk. The rooms are spacious and for what you get they are good value. However, I... The hotel was just perfect. The rooms are new. The bathrooms are very modern. The location was close to shops and the MTR. There was a free mini bar. The breakfast was a simple, but good. I look forward to staying there again.

I really enjoyed the days I spent at the Mercer. I stayed in a lower level room and didn't have a great view, but the comfort of the room was awesome. The breakfast could be better, but it was free so I can't complain. Also, i had great wifi speed. Fastest that I have ever had in HK. The location... More

This 'boutique' hotel has nice rooms, small living / kitchen area, small bedroom with proper bed and small but well designed bathroom. Indeed all small but clever designed. Good value, including simple breakfast and wifi. Great location for weekends, close to Soho and Central.

We stayed here for one night over CNY after moving out of our serviced apartment. We had one of the 1 bedroom suites. It was fantastic! Very large room (for HK) and easy to find from the MTR. Lots of nice bonuses like a free mini bar and a free smartphone in the room which we were able to take... More

I enjoyed a two night weekend layover in Hong Kong before a meeting in China. I selected this hotel based on other reviews and location. I was very pleased. We stayed 6 nights. Had breakfast for 2 included in our room rate. We stayed in the 1 bed room apartment, the largest in their portfolio. Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
