Very high quality apart hotel in Central. Rooms above average in size for Hong Kong. No dining facilities, but choices for every budget just a short walk away. Good location to hit the night spots in Central.

This apartment/hotel is located in Central, very close to the MTR apparently. However, the flight of stairs might be a bit difficult for those who has big suitcases, unless you are a disabled person when you can use the lift to carry you up. The check in process is fast, but I don't quite like the staff, they always look... More

We found the hotel a bit tricky to locate, but that could have purely been down to a very incompetent taxi driver. Once we figured out where the nearest subway station was we found it easy to walk to and from there. This was such a cool place, the room was like a small apartment. It had a fridge and... More

It's 5c (41 F) outside and there is no heater . I asked the front desk and was told that Hong Kong hotels do not have heat, which I find hard to believe. Even if this was true I think they could have at least provided space heaters, given how cold it is outside . The location is great and... More

Staff at reception were very friendly upon check in. Big room, close to MTR very convenient for getting around. Hotel was initially hard to find. The inclusion of the mini bar was an added bonus. bathroom amenities were very good. Breakfast however could have more variety.

Stayed here for three nights over NYE - as expected prices during this time for hotels in HK was high but this hotel provided great value for the location and the size is large. A couple of things to mention - the toilet did smell - not the cleaners fault, it's a building issue. The sofa is not comfortable so... More

Our room was big for HK standards. Centrally located and walking distance to Soho & LKF where you can find the good restaurants and bars. Breakfast was disappointing. Hotel staff & service was average and the lobby area needs to be developed as it is very small & uncomfortable.

This was my first visit to HK so I can't say that I know the entire landscape of Hong Kong, but my stay at the Mercer was very good. First, the location isn't easy to find or get to by cab since it's situated a little inside (one way streets) from the main street. But once you do find it,... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
