I lived in HK before visiting the city again as a tourist, and tried to find optiaml place to live for 4-5 days. Bauhinia is the best choice in terms of price/location/service/room facilities. You can walk, it is basically based in the centre, very close to metro (MTR). The rooms are very clean and nice. And there is no noise... More

This hotel is sort of perched on a hill in a quiet cul-de-sac, so be prepared to cart your luggage here if you're walking but its perfectly doable. The check in was quick and the staff friendly. There is no restaurant but its easy to grab a bite in the vicinity. We booked a superior room which was a tad... More

Was content to have chosen this place. Although not in an ideal location, the combination of accommodation quality, hotel amenities and services together with a fairer price than the "top hotels" meant we had a good value for money stay

Within city, quiet because in cul-de-sac on your right after walking up a very steep road. Positive:Clean, quiet room, wifi steady, sufficent power points for your portable devices Negative:Airport shuttle drops you at junction of Kimberly and Observatory Road and you need to lug your luggage up a very steep 45degree road with many flights of steeps to reach Observatory... Located atop a small slope off the junction of Observatory Road and Kimberley Road, Bauhinia offered us the best of both worlds - central location that is near all the food and shopping; and a quiet environment so that we can have a good rest at night. While the location on top of that small slope may not be convenient... More

We arrived at 7am but no room available for us despite remarks made one month ago. Not easy to locate this hotel and is it challenging when you reached with luggage bag. Front desk Staffs not too friendly but the housekeeper very nice.

The hotel was undergoing construction whilst we were there but we did not get disturbed by the noise. The rooms were nice, clean and modern. The only downside to this hotel was the large hill you need to climb to get to it. The hill is fine if your fit and healthy, just a bit of a struggle to pull... More

I had stay in this hotel on 13th of april for 1 night, It was a nightmare to find Hotel, They have not given complete address. And most important point not to take this hotel as it on the hill and very difficult to go there with Bags. Rooms were good as like other hk hotels, little small. Rest of... More

Excellent location in tst. Plenty of restaurants (western, Korean, japanese, chinese, and more) just metres away. Plenty of bars too, some with outdoors seating. Hotel location is fairly quiet, sitting in a cul de sac, overlooking the observatory grounds. We stayed in a deluxe room, boasting a fairly large bathroom by european hotel standards, and enough space in the room... More

Well, there isn't much to complain about knowing the high cost of hotel accommodation in Hong Kong. As expected, my room was very small. When I stayed (late nov 2013) they were renovating the hotel from lower levels. Not sure if its because of the renovation that they had few staff for service. The two staffs they had were unhelpful... More
