if there's a place where the staff can ruin your stay, this is the place. to start: 1- my flight was canceled, so i called the hotel one dat in advanced to tell them my flight was canceled, even then they charged me 1 night, for a 2 night stay. 1st night cost me 100US 2nd 290us, absurd. 2- as... Stayed here for a couple of nights because it was on the south side of the island. There aren't too many hotels here. L'Hotel (the "L" Hotel, to the taxi drivers!) seems to be very new. It oozes chic, but i am not quite sure what it is pretending to be. It is relatively plush, spotlessly clean, and reasonably priced.... More

We moved to this hotel in Hong Kong when the rugby was on and we could find nowhere more central. The location is not great - Aberdeen seemed like quite a grotty part of town - but there are shuttle buses into town every few hours or taxi's are still pretty cheap to Central HK. You get a much bigger... More

Traveled by myself in early March 2011, as my relatives in HK had no room for poor little me. Anyways, for the price of the rooms, you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner hotel, as spacious bed and bath rooms, convenient shuttle service to the main MTR subway stations, with a pretty decent gym as well. My reviews... More

Stayed for a week here on business. Comfortable with friendly, helpful and efficient staff, but noisy and frenetic. Loud muzak in all areas at all times. Poor and intermittent internet access in rooms, at least those on 26th floor. No lounge area to speak of, unless you pay for separate package that allows you to use the lobby lounge. Breakfast... Traveled with a family of 5 (3 teenagers) and this was a great hotel for us for 3 nights. The children visited Ocean Park (15 minute walk from hotel) while my husband and I ventured the city. Purchase the Ocean Park tickets at the front desk...they give you a generous discount. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel... More

The hotel is very nicely made. The rooms are quite spacious and elegantly built. But the location is quite far off especially if you are not a regular visitor to Hong Kong. Prefer this hotel only if you Hong Kong well. Not for first time travellers.

Although a little bit out of town, we really enjoyed our stay at the L hotel. The room was spacious, with modern facilitie's .A bus stop is just outside the side entrance, and the transport system is brilliant in HK,so getting around is easy. The staff were great, the food there was a little pricey, but the buffet breakfast was worth the price.

The key reason we book this hotel was for free high speed internet and it was fast. Unlike all the other hotels in Hong Kong even the most expensive one this one give you free Internet other hotel want you to pay a lot of money for just haft and hour to access the Internet and your only allowed to... The L'hotel Island South is maybe a bit off the tourist tracks and may not have a lot of shops/retaurant/super markets in the direct surrounding but it is a very nice, new hotel that offers a lot of comfort for little money (compared to hk standards). Bus stops in front of the hotel bring you to the busy areas like... More
