The room was very small and expensive but when considering Hong Kong rental rates it was reasonable. Good bed and nice bathroom, hot water of course and AC & WiFi. The room and corridors were cleaned daily. There was no real window out into the streets, but rather a couple of small ones into a "light shoot" (sorry, I don't... More

We stayed nine nights at Hang Ho. We were assigned to the 10th floor in a different unit than the unit where the front desk is located. For the most part, we had a very enjoyable and peaceful stay. Be warned though, given the price range and the reality of accommodation in Hong Kong, the room will be tiny, at... More

Rooms are small but clean. Bathroom basic with hot water and very clean as well. Beds were good, sheets clean too. We had a room with two double beds and stayed here for 2 nights with our two children. Just for sleeping, we had breakfast opposite the hostel, there was a very good bakery! It's in the middle of one... More

This was a very attentive staff. No for long waiting, only write the passport number and they immediately showed me to my room. Many 4 star hotels I have stayed in were no way that quick. Rooms were as advertised. Tiny, but everything is there; internet worked well: TV (no BCC or English news though), electric Kettle, airco, soap/shampoo, toothbrush.... More

There were 6 of us, three girls and three guys who stayed at this hostel for 6 nights. Although the air conditioned room is small but it is clean, comfortable and with attached bathroom equipped with shampoo and body shampoo. Wireless can be accessed in the room, but there were some problems accessing from my room for several nights. But... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
