Ignore the hawkers on the way in and this place is perfect for a stay in Hong Kong. Clean rooms, lovely helpful staff, decent aircon, great location and excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Like any big city, good affordable accommodation can be hard to come by. When we first arrived to the 'Chung King Mansions' entrance lobby, I was a little worried but once we made it up to Apple Hostel, I was at ease (beware, it can sometimes take a while to get an elevator as there are dozens of companies/accom/etc operating... When we arrived there we weren't too sure about the place. I felt at home very soon though, the staff were all VERY friendly!! The rooms were kept very clean and the location was perfect!! Train station was right outside the front and a bunch of local restraunts very close by. Very safe place, you don't have to worry about... More

It is cheap, tiny, painfully annoying waiting so long for the rickety old lifts, but in terms of value in Kawloon you really can't beat it. The Chungking mansions are noisy, dirty and a confronting mishmash. Once you reach the hostel it is a sanctuary with clean but tiny rooms, good wifi and helpful staff who speak English well. They... Regarding the hostels from Tsim Sha Tsui area, they were for me last alternative ...cheaper accommodation for 1 night stay. All that area where ChungKing Mansions are is pretty spooky for me...i do not say it's not safe...but i wouldn't stay in that area for a longer time. Regarding the Hostel itself, probably it was the best choice..i do not... More

Perfect location, clean & a very accomodating and helpful staff. Communication is not a problem the staff can communicate well in english (Filipino staff). For a budget hostel I would say that Apple Hostel is a great choice. Please note that this ain't a star rated hotel so don't expect to have a big room or fancy toilet. Positive points:... More

Chung King Mansions were one of the main attractions for me to come to Hong Kong as a keen photographer and lover of strange things. The whole place is fascinating, but you will certainly be hassled constantly and my reccommendation is to know where you want to stay and stick with it! There are over 300 hostels and hotels in... What i like most about this budget hostel is the location and close proximity to MTR, ferry terminals, airport bus and the shopping belt. Within less than 5 mins, you can walk and access to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR. The Star Ferry Terminal and the China Macau Ferry terminas are also about 10 mins walking distance from the hostel. This...
