Staying in the mansion is a trip everyone coming to HK should experience, and Apple is a solid choice to do so. Just like most places in HK, the rooms are tiny. Ours was in the middle so there was no window. Regardless, it was dark and quiet and the bed wasn't terrible, so we slept pretty well. The bathroom/shower... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Apple Hostel for 7 nights during our stay in HK. We read so many reviews about Chungking and were a bit hesitant of staying there but there is nothing to worry about!! You get hassled more outside of the building and if your backpackers you would've experienced a lot more hassle in other places.... More

This hostel is strategic because of its location at the Tsim Sha Tsui area. The place is small but private enough so you get a good night's rest after a long day of shopping :) What is great is that the staff is a "kabayan" so we felt right at home. Nica was warm and accommodating and she showed us... More

This budget hostel is a great place for those either transiting Hong Hong, or here for a few days. Located right in the middle of many restaurants and shops make it easy to grab a bite, and do some shopping at incredible prices. Signage from the road could be better as you must look up to locate the entry sign.... More

Chungking Mansions needs a little research before booking if you've never stayed there before. Crammed full of dodgy looking guesthouses, market stalls and moneychangers, it's a 'must do' for most backpackers. Having stayed at another guesthouse nine years previous, we booked back into the Chungking when we visited Hong Kong this year. Compared to other guesthouses, I thought the Apple... More

You should only be looking at this hotel if the alternative is a dorm style hostel. It pales in comparison in all respects except that you have your own room with a lock on the door. If you're on a budget and you don't like sleeping with strangers, this is an ok option, but otherwise go with the hostel The... More

I'll keep this brief, having just returned to the UK from a 9 day stay this time at Apple, just to throw into my earlier reviews that I keep coming back because of the consistency of standard plus the welcome. Not many places to stay meet you with' hello, you're back, we kept your regular room for you' get the... More

But first you have to go through Chungking Mansions which is full of little shops/stalls and lots of men trying to sell you something and everything, best thing is to not get eye contact and say no or ignore. Once you get to lift 3 there is a security guy and cameras of inside the lift which kind of makes... More

Good location, close to the Tsim Sha Tsui subway, and piers. The Chungking Mansion is a very cosmopolitain place, with an amazing atmosphere. The 1st floor must be seen. Taking the lift is like an adventure. So after you reach the 10th, you find some friendly owners in a small, but clean hostel. Conformable bed with TV set, and WIFI.... More

We had stayed before in another hostel of the Chung Mansion which was much worse! Here the receptionist was nice, the room was ready and there was a common area with a couch and microwave, good for socializing! It looked more like a hostel. Really good value!
