After our alarming check in at South China Hotel, we hurriedly all hopped on our phones and laptops to find a different hotel to check in on the same day. Wifi Boutique was the only one that came up that had availability, wifi, and fit within our budget. It was the last room they had available, 2202, which only has... More

"Wifi Boutique Hotel (Hong Kong) is committed to providing you with an experience that is unparalleled in comfort and unmatched in service" I only can wickedly smile, reading this statement on the website of the hotel. Unmatched service, maybe - if they compare it with a prison camp. During my check in I was reminded about the East German Border... More

Surprisingly quite a large room in Hong Kong Island, moreover in Wan Chai area. For those who would like to spend more time in HK island, this is quite a good choice. And it's near to Causeway Bay. And quite a number of famous Cha Chan Teng (tea shop) is at your footsteps. And if you want to try the... More

The hotel is within walking distance from popular halal eateries Islamic Centre canteen and Wai Kee at the Bowrington Market. A short stroll from Causeway Bay MTR and we find the room spacious for the price we paid. Will definitely stay here again!

When I arrived hotel to check in at the midnight, the guy was sitting at the counter and focusing on the Jocky Club football match website. He ignored me until I said I got the booking. Then one lady came form back office, look like just wake up, helped me to check in. She spoke to me so fast with... More

This hotel is in a great location easy to walk to from the MRT. It's simple, and does the job! Nothing fancy but clean and good value. This hotel is practical and ideal of your main goal is to be out and about in HK and come home to get a good sleep!

Very convenient hotel, good location and good staff and free wifi!! I booked a double standard room and you have everything to survive in the room. Shops, restaurants are along the way to Causeway Bay station. Would stay there again during my next visit to HK :)

a bit of a walk to causeway bay shops and restaurants, the room is small but clean and modern. hotel staffs are very friendly. If you are on a budget, this hotel is a great choice to stay. not good if you have kids because of the long walk.

I'm fairly no frills when I travel, so I booked a room here. Location was perfect. Room was clean. Staff answered my questions, when I had them; but, mostly interaction was limited. What I failed to factor in when I booked this hotel was my parents' travel style. My folks are late 60s/early70s. They would've preferred to have some in-hotel... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
