Those who get a shock is probably unaware of how things run in HK. It is functional, room is not very spacious, walls are thin... but it works for us because of the location (in between 2 subway) and walking distance to causeway bay... and its cheap.

For 1 person, the rooms are fine. But for a family or multiple people, the rooms are too small. They can barely contain the bed yet alone people and their baggage. Otherwise service is fine, there is, as the name suggests, free wifi, receptionists speak english. A bit hard to find since the entrance is small.

Could have been the safest hotel in HK... Stayed for two nights, The Fire Alarms blared the first night around 4AM, and 3AM the following night. We asked the front desk why the alarm went off, just told us that somebody was smoking on both occassions.

The WiFi hotel is a budget hotel with rooms that suggest otherwise. Rooms are very well appointed and not too small either, given Hong Kong standards. Very well equipped with large screen TV, iPad dock, AV connectivity, kitchen area with kettle, sink and microwave, and excellent free wifi (as the name may suggest). The budget bit comes down to a... We had a hard time finding this hotel since it's not that big. Once you enter there is a mini front desk but that time no one was there and we didn't see anybody all throughout our stay. You need to go up to a certain floor which I forgot before you see a very small space where the real... More

There were mixed comments on reviews about the room size- but we booked a 'SUPERIOR ROOM' so thought we would be OK. However people saying room size was OK must have been upgraded. As when we got to the room it was a few inches bigger than the bed. Literally two people could not walk past each other (one has... More

Very central. WiFi worked perfect. Coffee and tea facilities. I liked the style of "transparent" rain shower. The 'important' bits are hidden! Can't compare but what I heard of room sizes in hk in general I say it was OK. Especially as solo traveler. No refill of beer (but free water) at daily service, but you can buy more at... More

We were allocated non-transparent shower-room door on the 22nd floor with partial view of Victoria Harbour. Leave the hotel building and turn right and walk 2 blocks away to catch bus (bearing bus nos. 11X, or 12X) to Cross Under-Tunnel to Kowloon, or Hung-Hom MTR Station if one wishes to take longer train journey to Shenzhen. or nearer to Shatin,... This hotel was well run - clean and modern interior, with responsive staff. Maid service managed to clean the room while I was gone, regardless of my hours (no idea how they were monitoring me so well). Located on a major road for easy taxi or 5-min walk to MTR station. Many restaurants nearby, shopping in Causeway Bay. Great for... More

I stayed at this hotel as a solo traveller for 3 days. The hotel was easy to find using google maps. Location was excellent with easy access to causeway bay subway station as well as bus stations in vicinity. It is located at a walking distance to the biggest shopping marts but had some drawbacks as well. I dont know... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
