Having never been to Hong Kong before, I wanted to spend a night there before returning to Australia from my business trip in China. So, the bad points are that the room was tiny, hardly enough room for the bed, you could only get on it from the end. The wallpaper was coming off the walls and the noise from... More

On the 1st day, not easy to navigate to this place from the airport shuttle drop-off point & also from the nearest exit of jordan MTR, maybe it was due to me not knowing the roads. But from the 2nd day onwards, once you remember the directions, it will be better. the single room was small and cozy for a... More

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay while waiting for a visa to China. Nowhere on the booking site did it say that the single rooms have no windows. It was the smallest hotel room I've ever seen and not worth the $550 HKD for the night. Even more claustraphobic with no window. The mamager was understanding and graciously refunded... More

To be fair, I had booked a single room, but I never imagined it would be THAT small. People had clearly been smoking in it previously. The walls are thin as paper, and noises leaked in from all around. Arriving at midnight, the streets are very vibrant with noisy drunks and pleasure seekers. I would not stay here again. The... Stayed in HK over New Year and returned to the Goodrich Hotel. Yes, the room is tiny and there is no window and it is not a bargain. But all this is common to HK. Very convenient for the A22 or N11 airport buses -the much cheaper alternative to the Airport Express. What sets this Hotel apart from others in... More

I stayed here alone with my child last week, the receptionist gave me a discount and I paid 400hkd/night for the room. Room was tiny but clean, tv had no cartoons for my child and no english channels at all, not even cnn. Bathroom was tiny but clean. There was a kettle and mini ref but fridge in my room... More

Apparently all hotel rooms in Hong Kong are tiny and the Goodrich is no exception. That aside, we were happy with the hotel. It's in a great location, close to the Temple St night markets and Jordan MTR (use exit A) and there are plenty of options close by for eating and drinking.

No place for keeping things (No safety box), the refrigerator change to be microwave! lol. Staff just cleaning the bathroom and didn't change the pad sheets, pheeww.. overall is good, the... More

The hotel is clean and unpretentious, with a reception easily accessible from the street. The receptionist was very warm, polite and helpful. No hustler, no annoying lines, none of the hassles you find at Chungking Mansions. The room, of course, was tiny, but this is Hong Kong, so this is unavoidable if you do not want to pay a fortune.... In Hong Kong, all hotel rooms are small I have a single room, it is about 60 sq ft. Very convenient location, but a little noisy too Great for Temple street shopping (beware of pick pockets) Good staff, friendly and helpful. Stayed for a week.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
