Don't come here for a long term stay. It's fine for one or two nights, but that's it. The rooms are very very time, barely any space for luggage. Some of the showers are strange, so ask to get a normal one on another floor. Not a room to 'chill' in, so only come here if you're an active person... More

A tiny room in a great location, which is honestly exactly what I want in Hong Kong. If you get a balcony room, you get to look right out onto the road and enjoy the city atmosphere, though if you're a light sleeper, you'll find it lets in altogether too much atmosphere--it's very loud. As a fairly deep and, at... More

Stayed here twice in August 2013 and returned for a third time in November 2015. Rooms are very small but clean. A lot of light shining in through window and noise from the street. Bring an eye mask and ear plugs. However, reasonable price for HK. Great location for train and amenities. Much better than Mingle with the Star.

The room is small but is well equipped and has a quaintness to it. Brick walls and shuttered balcony doors add to the retro feel. Beds are comfortable and the shower is high powered with plenty of hot water. It is located 300 meters from Wan Chai Metro Station. It is well run and the staff are efficient though they... More

We've stayed at Mingle three times now and it really is the best value for money in Hong Kong. The rooms range from small to tiny but they are very clean and the showers are excellent. The larger rooms are on the street side so can be pretty noisy so choose one of the other rooms if you are a... More

It started off okay with efficient check-in at reception. It went downhill from there. Unfortunately we were given a room that faced the main road. It was directly facing the double-decker bus stop and extremely noisy all through the night. There was no sound-proofing whatsoever on the windows. It was so noisy that ear plugs were of no help at... More

I just checked in today and when i check in , the staff asked us to pay. But from our booking history, it is paid already. The staff is very impolite including the junior staff and manager, and just let us to phone the booking agent and credit card centre without giving any asistance. Anyway, after this stuff, when we... Very clean but also very small, really not even enough room to walk around the bed let alone anywhere to put my suitcase or anything I had purchased. Everything was welll organized, but it had to be. I feel I was completely overcharged for an outlet converter too.

You get what you pay for - a clean hotel, centrally located. Very, very small rooms, we felt kind of cramped in there, barely a place to put the suitcases. Nevertheless we were on a budget and after the initial "shock" we adjusted to the accomodation and had a great trip after all. Wan Chai subway station is very close,... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
