You get what you pay for - a clean hotel, centrally located. Very, very small rooms, we felt kind of cramped in there, barely a place to put the suitcases. Nevertheless we were on a budget and after the initial "shock" we adjusted to the accomodation and had a great trip after all. Wan Chai subway station is very close,... More

I booked a deluxe room in this hotel and it was equipped with a good sized firm and supportive double bed. The room, on the first floor, was spotlessly clean and was serviced daily. I tried to use the video system, but gave up as after many attempts I couldn't get it to function (although probably my fault)! There are... More

The only good thing about this Hotel is the Location and don't get confused by Mingle Place, there are more than Four Variants of Mingle Place and that would be "Mingle on the Wing, by the Park" etc. "Mingle Place by the Park" and "Mingle Place with the Star" are located side by side, so make sure which one you... For my 2nd stay at Mingle Place by the Park, I booked a single room, to see how the smaller rooms compared to the double or queen, which I had booked last time. The Single room is very small, the bed is narrower than a normal single bed, but the rest was perfect - clean, well organized and very friendly... More

It's 5 in the morning and I have not slept even for 20 seconds. There is a never-ending line of trucks and buses driving by that shake the bed. The walls are indeed paper-thin towards the front road. There is no refund and I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow night. I haven't been sick in over a... More

Handy for Wan Chai and Causeway Bay etc and a fairly good nod to the Wan Chai of yesteryear. I stayed in the older part of the hotel (which has been open I believe for around 3 years or so). If you're looking for a bit of Suzie Wong inspiration this is the place. Wonderful black & and white photos... More

I've stayed at Mingle by the Park 2 times in Hong Kong. For the price on Hong Kong island, it's a decent deal even if the rooms are very small. The only problem I had was one night the air condition, which is over the foot of the bed, dripped all night. I was drunk enough not to care that... More

Tiny room but clean and well kept. Very noisy indeed, the walls seemed paper thin and there is building work going on right next door so any lay in you might be planning needs to be scrapped. Excellent location walking distance of everything you need.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
