Paying this much for staying in a dorm I would at least expect a good bed. My bed was definitely not designed for tall people... I'm not that tall my self but the bed was to small for me. Besides that the bed was hard as a rock, I was delighted to leave this place. Staff wasn't very friendly either

Good location. Located between all the shops. On the corner VictoriaPark and 1 min walk to the metro station. The room is on Hong Kong style so that means small room and shower (8min warm water) next the toilet. I liked it because it gave me more the Hong Kong experience!

HK hostel is nice. Just about where the airport bus drops off. And just about a block or so away from exit e of causeway bay station, ikea, and some shops. The room, we took that which is good for four. It was good enough. Cozy. Only that we have to wait for a few minutes for the hot shower... More

The main positives from this hostel are the location - a few minutes walk from the metro in Causeway Bay and the staff who were very friendly and arranged for me to stay an extra night at the same rate at short notice. The atmosphere is good with a small but functional communal area with free (although patchy) wifi. You... More

This hostel is very nice indeed, has a very friendly atmosphere with all abroad who come to the site, besides being in a safe place and a place with very good location. You can find everything you need around you, besides being the subway station nearby. The rooms are super comfy, in fair condition, the bathroom is preserved and in... More

We got Hong Kong hostel after reading some bad experiencies on TA, and I wasnt totally sure I did right on booking it... But I have to say it was quite good night. Friendly stuff, very clean room even though was very small: a double bed for us, + another extra single bed where we could drop our stuff and... More

I stayed at this hostel in a triple room with 2 other friends. The hostel itself was very basic, expect to get what you pay for, but the location is really great. Causeway Bay MTR is just around the corner and from there it is 10 minutes to Central which is where you can get the train to the airport... More

My partner and I weren't the biggest fans of this hostel. We had booked a double private room, which was completely ignored...instead we ended up in bunk beds. Also, our room was not in the main hostel. We were taken to a different apartment about 100 metres up the street, which was a bit annoying as we had friends staying... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
