Good place to stay while in Hong Kong. The location is ideal because it is a 2min walk to the MTR. I've stayed here every time I visit Hong Kong. Both dorms and private rooms are really good and clean. Good for backpackers, dont expect too much. The staff is nice and helpfull!

This hotel is near to the Causeway Bay MRT Exit E. It is in the same building of a shopping complex, near to Fashion Street where there are a lot of branded boutique like Versace, Michael Kors, etc. This hotel is quite affordable since its Hong Kong, do expect small room. The bathroom is nice. Staff are nice. The lobby... More

good place to sleep with low budget, it is close to center (you can walk to), the stop of airport bus in not too far, a little bit hidden in a building. Room not to big but ok, good shower , air conditioning

Only stayed here a few hours. Tiny rooms smelled of chlorine to the point of making us feel nauseated. Couldn't stay a minute longer. Only redeeming feature is the location. Sign in the entrance corridor states that it operating illegally and it is quite clear that the residents of the block are not keen on you being there.

Have a lot of good things to say about this place, staff were efficient, computer located near reception, free Wifi in the rooms, clean rooms and bathrooms. The location is ideal, very close to a metro stop and numerous bus stops, and around the corner from the real downtown!

We booked the 8 person dorm at Comfort Hostel (aka: Hong Kong hostel & Wang Fat hostel) for 178 Hong Kong dollars for two people (3 nights: $534) on hostel world. After checking into what looked like a nice hostel environment we were told we would be upgraded to a two person dorm down the street. Not to argue when... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and as soon as we got there wished we hadn't booked for so long. The rooms arebasically flats they have bought in a block so there are signs up saying the hostel is illegal and it's clear the other residents don't want you there. Our room was slightly grubby but an attempt of cleaning... More

Very well located, near subway station and numerous bus stops; restaurants and shops everywhere. My room (8 beds-dorm) was quite spacious as opposed to some of the reviewers' here and I had a decent sleep every night. Staff was helpful and the place is well cared for in general; although the common areas are small and kitchen is tiny! The... More

A cheap option in a good location. We booked a 4 bed private room but were a little surprised to find that it was bunk beds. We had seen a photo online and expected 4 singles. Not the end of the world as it was only a place to lay our heads. We booked this for the last 3 nights... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. There was one lady who worked in the evenings that was really helpful and very funny. It makes a difference to our stay. Rooms were clean and showers were really powerful in our area. Somebody cleaned them everyday, which was needed. You even get shampoo and shower gel dispensers. Great location. We would def... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
