Chungking mansions is a good location, New China guesthouse, however, wasn't a good experience for us. On our 4 day stay the internet worked for 3 hours of our first day. Both the staff and owner were quite dismissive of the problem. The owner was trying to fix the problem himself with no success over the 4 days we were... More

The room is very small (single room), I felt a little bit disapointed at first. But at least it is sufficient for your basic need. The location is great: 5 minutes walking to Avenue of Stars, 10 minutes to Harbour city, maybe the biggest shopping mall with luxury items in Kowloon, 2 minutes to Tsim Sha Tsui MRT station. There... I knew this was just an inn or a back-packer motel. I was still disappointed when we arrived there. Our family stayed there 3 nights, too long. My husband hated to go back to the hotel after day trip. My parents' room was better than our two other rooms, they can open their windows. We had windows in our rooms,... More

I stay for 3 nights. No Flat Screen TV as detail in www. No refrigerator and toiletries like other hotel in same price. Offering only towel with staff friendly. Suggestion for 2nd accommodation budget hotel in good location.

Booked at Agoda, because it was the cheapest hotel there. Good: the location- near the Harbour, museums, many malls and restaurants and MRT. The room itself was very clean, but it's like a prison cell, because you have no space. And the way to go there is a bit special ;-) BUT: you will not spend much time in the... More

If you book this Guesthouse with the usual Hotel search engines, you will get a very basic but "functional" room - more like a pod than a hotel room,(store you suitcase under the bed!) but en-suite air-con/fan and small TV. (Very Hot water) Oh and if you are over 5:11" you will not be able to stretch out! NOTE: There... More

A 5 minute walk from the Tim Sha Tsui MTR Station, for the money, you can't beat the location. Free wireless in the room and a working TV is a plus. Quiet enough to get an ok sleep if your really tired! ;-)

Although the guesthouse itself is relatively clean, the ChungKing Mansions in which the guesthouse is situated is a seedy dirty building. All sorts of unsaviory characters frequent the building and we did not feel safe. There is only one lift to the guesthouse. It can take max 4 persons. As a result, a long line forms at the lift. Sometimes... More
