very nice location near subway. mall and cheap restaurants withh night market. one thing I don't like is the small room. we booked family rooms and funny cause when we entered the room with our luggages we couldn't fit inside so we need to removed our luggage from the room if somebody needs to do something. if they only have... When in Hongkong, one should expect hotels (specially in Kowloon side) to have really small rooms and Wing Sing Hotel is no exception. The primary advantage of this hotel is its location. It is near the Yau Ma Tei MTR station, the bus stop of the airport bus, Nathan Road, Temple Street night market, restaurants, money changers and convenience stores.... More

A very budgeted hotel. It is lucky enough that it can fit 2 beds in one room. It's good that I was with my mom and sister that's why we managed to just push the two beds together to accommodate the 3 of us. The room is tidy and neat. The restroom is a step away from the bed (you... More

Very budgeted hotel. What can we expect with the price we pay in such an affordable price and also centrally located in the city centre? Room is tidy and neat. Just small and hardly can walk around if you have more than 3 bags. Do plan and pack the right bag if u choose to stay in this hotel. The... More

We had a shock upon entering the room. It is even smaller than the usual mini rooms as expected in yaumatei. There ain't space to place 2 big luggage. The room is only enough to fit a single bed and the second one has to be placed in an 'L' position. The housekeeping is scary, hair stuck at the scupper... More

Booked a budget stay in Hong Kong, the size of the rooms were the smallest I have ever stayed in. Barely enough place to move around, and place your luggage. Non-wroking fridge, TV with no English channels, not so welcoming front desk staff, no breakfast... leaves a lot to be desired. The only good part being proximity to the market... More

First off I just want to say please don't be driven away from this budget hotel. It has its up and downs but for the most part its good value. I will tell both sides and you decide for yourself. OK bad first, this hotel is small compared to north american standards. Its the size of most people's closet. There... More

So small yet so expensive - I mean, from an outsider of HK people, the price is quite high, compare to hotels in mainland China, even in Peking, Shanghai and Shenzhen. I doubt it is even cheaper to live in a hotel in Shenzhen and go to HK by train everyday, as long as your visa allows. However, there are... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
