I stayed at that guest house for 4 nights. To be honest I have heard a lot about Chuing Mansions and was afraid to stay there especially alone. But no reason to be afraid of it. Yes, it's a very international place, Indian and Arabian people always try to sell a room to you. Yes, the room is impossibly small.... More

I am 6'3", so I booked a double room. It was big enough for me. I booked Ashoka (13th Floor) Check in is on 16th floor. (Delta Hotel) My room was on 6th floor. This was actually better as it meant less time waiting for the elevator, and close enough to the ground to be able to walk down if... More

I enjoyed this hotel within Chungking Mansions. Ashoka Guest house is 13th floor, Block A. Check-in is on 16th floor (use other elevator). I however was placed in a room on the 6th floor. I was wary at first, having heard that one guesthouse will pawn you off on another if they were full. However I needn't worry, as they... More

This hostel is located at Chungking Mansion. Perfect for budget solo backpackers. I didn't expect too much I paid HKD100/night. Bed is really hard to sleep. Since it's in Hong Kong expect that the room is very tiny. The building is a bit run down. Lobby is not clean. You will be greeted with a smell of Indian spices. The... More

I would rather stay in a brothel in Calcutta, than ever step foot back in this "guest house." Not only was there vomit in the stairwells, but the rooms and reception look nothing like they do in the pictures here. I couldn't even take a shower because I felt as though I would come out dirtier than when I came... More

Stayed here as a solo traveller for 3 days during May. The hotel is located in the famous 'Chung King Mansion' which has lots of hotels. The approach to the hotel is kinda shady with lots of agents and brokers surrounding you for rooms, but, if you choose to ignore all that and straight-away take the elevator, its not at... More

I have stayed at this place three times over the years. It is located in Chung King Mansion (a famous little group of towers full of shops, hostels, and some restaurants). You need to know which elevator to get on when you walk into the building, and there are signs by each elevator showing which hostels that elevator goes too.... More

Thx to all the comments here I was mentally prepared and yes, especially when you arrive with your luggage you will be greeted by a hord of Indians/Africans who try to sell you anything (room, bags, handwatches and one time a full list of drugs). But just see it funny, or as woman say "don't touch me", it helps. However... More

I have stayed at this hostel for 4 nights during my trip in Hongkong. The location is super good, near the harbor, Avenue of Stars where you can have great view in HongKong and there are 2 stations nearby. One is opposite the building and one is on the right side..only few steps . The room was okay, small but... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the rooms clean, serviced and more than adequate for sleeping and showering. They are small, but far from cramped. We had a twin room for two and the space was never an issue. The location is also superb and the price the best you can find on a budget. The building is... More
