I stayed at Ashoka Guest house for a couple of days. It was very clean, the in house staff was very cooperative. As I'm just visiting this place for business, I approached the reception guys about most favourable places to look around Hong Kong and they were really nice and friendly while suggesting me some good places. I would certainly... More

I stayed 1 night there before i left hongkong. You have to wait for the elevator for a long time. In this building are around 15 guesthouses. At night are a lot of drugdealers around the area. The rooms are very tiny and the restrooms are a mess! I would everyone recommend not going there!!! Worst place i ever stayed!

I stayed for three-nights in a four-bed dormitory. It was a submarine-like experience. To access to upper level of the hostel bunk bed I had to place one step on a stack of safes ment to serve as lockers between the cellphone charges of the other guests, grab the board on the edge of the bed and place a second... Everyone knows Chungking Mansion is one of the well-known accommodation for the people who would like to save money. If anyone will stay at there, I recommend them to go to Ashoka by the following reasons. 1. low cost (around 20USD/night) 2. good free wifi access condition 3. not so dirty and very few insects (mostly clean) 4. hot shower... I decided to try this guest house based on the previous helpful reviews which gave it a reasonable rating. I've stayed at two other 1 star hotels/guest houses in HK before and been disappointed each time, but the lack of availability in my usual hotel and good rating here pursuaded me to give this a try. I booked a room... More

The value of money is perfect only if you need a place to sleep after a long day of wandering the streets of Hong Kong. The location is good because it's very near the MTR station. Just beware of the people hanging in the lobby near the elevator. Also, the staff is accommodating. One of their staff can speak Filipino.... More

For Hong Kong, as the most expensive city I have visited so far, the Ashoka offers a good price quality ratio. We stayed there for 3 nights and got randomly a free upgrade for our room, which was pretty nice with a good view. So we had a little bit more space and got an own bathroom. Else wise everything... I stayed in a mixed dormitory room. I can't say it was a cozy place. However, the location was good to go out anywhere because it's close to the station. The room had own toilet/shower room, but it's not so clean and hot water didn't last longer. The worst thing was that I found cockroach on the wall when I... More

This Ashoka Website promised an ensuite room with microwave, refrigerator, desk, seating area, and Bathtub. We had to pay a key deposit, but they still refused to give my fiancee a key. They moved us up several floors to "Delta" There was one frig in a hallway for 20 rooms, no microwave. They never entered our room to empty trash,... More
