Stayed at The Cityview for 3 nights. Very satisfied with the rooms given to us. No moldy patches or smell in the room. Sheets are white and clean. Towels are changed and there is a faint smell of bleach. Rooms are not that small, however, one of the toilets was really small. The beds were pretty hard and had to... More

My husband, myself, sister and brother-in-law spent ten days in Hong Kong at the Cityview and loved it. The hotel staff were friendly and were only too happy to help in any way they could. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was magical. The rooms were good, we stayed in an executive room and it was plenty big enough... More

There were mixed reviews for this hotel, but found it was great for location. We were looking for somewhere to break-up a long trip to the UK and this was just great. The location was prefect for shopping, markets and subway etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful with directions etc. My only negative comments was with checking out.... More

I stayed at the Cityview in the summer of 2007 and was very impressed with it. Enough so that I came back during my most recent trip to Hong Kong in July 2011. The location is very convenient; right across the street from the Yau Ma Tei MTR station, within walking distance of Mongkok, and a reasonable walk or quick... More

The rooms are clean. The hotel location is perfect due to proximity to YMT MTR Station, Nathan Road and the night markets. A cineplex showing the latest blockbusters is within walking distance. The nearby 7-11 and Circle K stores are very convenient. Burger KIng, KFC & McD are within 1 minute walk The hotel breakfast is very decent and staff... More

I attended a seminar nearby and stayed for 4 nights at the hotel. Being conveniently located just next to the train station provided a good base to explore HK from. Food and conveniences are located just outside the hotel's doorstep + the colourful night markets. The room was well kept and of decent size. Facilities within the hotel met our... More

Conveniently located within a minute walk from the Yau Ma Tei MTR station(exit A2) and easily accessible by the free shuttle bus(K5) from Kowloon station. Walking distance to Temple street nite market, ladies market etc and eatries is just across the hotel. Booked a deluxe room and was delighted to be given a free upgrade to deluxe suite upon check-in.... More

the hotel is close the about almost everything. mtr station, street markets, fast food chains, convenient stores, money changers. the week we went to hk which was on february, the weather was cold so it was a good time to stroll the whole nathan road and just be fascinated with the bustling city of kowloon. i don't know why but... Located between shopping areas of Tsimshatsui and Mongkok on Kowloon side. 10 minutes taxi ride from Airport Express Kowloon Station, 30 seconds walk to Yau Ma Tei Station on MTR(HKG's mass transit system). Couple dozen bus routes to all over HKG. To sum up, hotel is in very convenient location. Rooms are very clean and efficiently designed. Staffs are very... More

We stayed at cityView for 6 nights. The rooms were rather small, and toilet is really tiny, but it's clean and well-kept, and shouldn't be a problem if you re not too big-sized. Location is really good, Yau Ma Tei MTR is walking distance less than 5 mins away. Security guard, Concierge and Shuttle Bus Driver were reasonably helpful. There's... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
