It is in a central area, very close to the MTR subway system and various buses with many shops, eating places and money changing being nearby. You get everything but room, space being at such a premium in Hong Kong / Kowloon. A good bed, small fridge, free wifi, TV, shower and toilet (soap and toilet rolls), free cold and... More

We stayed in Peace guest house. A bit complicated to locate our guest house. Huge building and lots of small guest house on each floor. Clean, cheap but very tiny rooms. Only two elevators so be prepared to use the stairs.

Stayed there with a friend after leaving the first guest house, this was a little better- at least there were no roaches but still, the room was so small. Incredibly narrow and a fire hazard for sure with only two outlets for plugging in to charge our phones/computers. The air conditioning was extremely warm. My friend and I had to... More

Well, first and foremost you get what you pay for. I was directly to three different floors, and the name of the hotel was no where to be found, but they did have my resveration, so I guess they gave me some sort of peace of mind. Never staying in a hostel before, it wasnt what i expected. Room was... More

oh my gosh, this would have to be the most unusual place I have ever stayed, it is a huge building with so many rooms and different areas , high up in the sky, the room itself was fine, very compact , but clean, the building is a disaster waiting to happen, I would have concerns if there was a... I would not suggest tourist to stay here. I couldn't sleep well since the room was not that clean, and there's smell of curry, and just really very small that made me feel uncomfortable. If you only need a bed it's ok but ... it should be better to pay more and stay in a better hotel/hostel in order to... More

Ok, where to begin? I stayed in two 'hostels' in the block of flats that is Chung King Mansion - while I did enjoy the multicultural feel of the indoor market areas downstairs, the accommodation itself left much to be desired. There are no dorm-rooms, only single rooms. The rooms are really small with a shower that is so small,... More

Sounds good. New Chung King Mansion Hostel. What is 'new' at Chung King anyway? Hostels, guest houses at Chung King Mansion or anywhere around Nathan Road have interestingly captivating names but accommodation is something else. Photos and pictures can be misleading so better not expect too much ; seeing the real thing can be very disappointing. Accommodation at New Chung... More

This was booked as a hostel, it is not a hostel. It is individual rooms that are spotlessly clean but tiny and cramped. The beds are slightly bigger than single/twin beds and were for two people. The bathroom is a sink, a toilet and hand held shower hose. This is over the toilet!!! so you can't even stand under it... More
