Arrived and was hopeful when I entered the hotel, looked decent enough for the price. The room was ok, given it is Hong Kong and a room at this price. The location is decent, a couple minutes walk to Langham place and the mtr That's where the positives of the room end The walls are dirty, the bed makes you... More

I was looking for a budget hotel in Kowloon located near the MTR. At HKD$400.00 this is at the very bottom end of hotel prices in Hong Kong. I don't know why they would call this the 'Harbour Hotel' as it's nowhere near the Harbour. Quite the opposite. It's a small back street. The south end of Canton Road is... More

Harbour hotel very near mongkok city area, is quite convenience and just 5-10 mins walk to shopping mall, mrt station and those famous market place like lady street market. The hotel staffs are friendly and able to provide the correct direction for me to visit those attraction places that i want to go. As a budget hotel, their room space... More

I was in Hong Kong for a 13-hour layover, and quite simply just needed a place to wash and sleep. I really considered doing the whole Chungking Mansions hostel thing, but one thing put me off - pretty much all the hostel places appeared to require a check-in before midnight, and I was planning on getting in town right about... Small rooms, without fridge. Surprisingly excellent wifi (I was able to watch a live UFC event) Small business centre in Lobby. Laundromat located a few shops further down Canton Road. Good value if you are out all day and just using the room to sleep.

I've actually stayed at this hotel 3 times, and have another upcoming stay later this year. I agree with all the reviewers who have mentioned how tiny the rooms and bathrooms are - for a twin room, you and your friend will have to take turns to open your luggages and in the bathroom, it's hard to dry yourself without... Male receptionist ignored us for a good 5 minutes, all we needed was a nod. Room was minuscule, the "bathroom" the width of a toilet, nice glass basin, great shower rose with hot water, but that was all this very positive person could find to say. The mattresses were hard, the single beds the very narrowest, the pillows were ok.... More

We stayed at the Harbour Hotel for a couple of days during our stay in Hong Kong. It is close to the Ladies Market, within easy walking distance of the harbour and just around the corner from the Metro station. It was recommended by a business associate that we stay here for the first nights of this trip, when we... More

Staying in Mong Kok

Neighborhood Profile
Mong Kok
It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. One reliable rule of thumb: the smaller the place, the better the food.
