This place is located on the busy strip of Canton Road. Luckily I took a night flight, my plane arrived after 11 pm, otherwise, I don't know how I would made it to this hotel with my luggage. The room was full of cigarette smell although it was No smoking. I demanded to change rooms. The only staff on duty,... More

Harbour Hotel is in a semi-industrial street in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is close to Nathan Road and to Mong Kok markets, good for shopping. Once inside the hotel lobby, check-in was quick, just be aware you need to pay HK$200 deposit, get it back when you check out. I was staying by myself in room 301, small single room... More

Standard/Double room is small, but enough for a couple for a short trip. Location is near shopping area - Ladies Market, Fa Yuen Market, Langham Place, etc. Staff able to speak simple English, but if you could speak simple Cantonese, will get more help. Free street directories, maps, shopping mags and even minicards(http://www.minicardshk.com/hk/) are available at reception. Decent waiting lobby... More

At first i thought this was very good hotel, but then i notice my room is very much like an ordinary room in a russian prison. Service was as good as one would except in such place, except the cleaning which was in fact pretty decent. Worst place in this hotel is the restaurant on the top floor, which doesn't... More

Three of us stayed for 3 nights at level 6. The room was smaller than expected , especially when we just finished visiting Macau. It is sort of near Mongkok MTR , about 10 mins walk. One of the bed was at the other corner of the room , rather heaty, we requested for a fan. The hotel was kind... More

The size of the room is really small. Look carefully on the ground, walls and bed as i have found ants, crawling on my bed! I have been to 2 rooms and both had ants. The people working there were really nice and was able to switch us into a bigger room but it was still not the ideal room... More

First of all, they might as well call the hotel "Golden Sands Beach Resort" or "Mountain View Alpine Lodge" for all it has to do with the harbour. The rooms were small, but this was made clear when I was booking the room so the size is not a cause for complain. Just bear in mind that 8.5 m2 is... More

Staying in Mong Kok

Neighborhood Profile
Mong Kok
It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. One reliable rule of thumb: the smaller the place, the better the food.
