First walking into the building where our hotel was situated was a bit daunting, a busy market place type area. Caught lift B to the 3rd floor where Simon our manager met and took us to our room. Everywhere had coded locks for safety which was good. If was very small with 2 double both against a wall with a... More

Pros - Simon! Works tirelessly running the hostel, was always very polite with us and keeps the rooms very clean - location - price (??) Cons - everyday is an ordeal getting in and out of Chungking mansion. The hostel is about 6 floors up and the lift always packed so you can take the fire stairs. The stairs seem... More

Rather lovely guest house in the middle of Hong Kong, which is easy to get to from the airport and within distance of several stations and the harbour. Nathan road is tout heaven, but Chungking Mansions isn't menacing at all. Simon (the owner) is lovely and will look after your every need. All in all, it was a wonderful trip... More

If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Hong Kong that's clean, cheap and perfectly situated, then look no further! Simon (the guest house owner) is a friendly and helpful guy who runs a great little place. Our room was scrupulously clean, comfortable and had free wi-fi, which was all we really wanted, and as it's right on Nathan Road,... More

Room was extremely quiet in a very busy building. Simon was very helpful and kept our room very clean. If you don't mind taking stairs, I would definitely recommend this accommodation. The elevator is very small and often fills up, so you have to wait awhile for it. Also, It was a little strange not to have a window, but... More

This guest house is wonderful! After reading some reviews about Chungking Mansion I was slightly worried but I needn't had been. Guangdong Guest House is extremely clean, safe and welcoming and it's all down to Simon. I would definitely stay again!

If you travel on budget in Hong Kong definitely consider this place. In in the middle of Kowloon just a minute from Tsim Tsa Tsui metro station. Simon the owner is a great and helpful guy. He lives in the hostel and does what he can to keep it in top shake and to keep you happy. The rooms were... More

Though the way to the Guangdong Guest House is a little strange at night, the hostel is a perfect choice when you are looking for a room that is very clean and tidy with airco, good WIFi connection, television with DVD and a Western toilet in the heart of Kowloon and don' t want to spend too much money. Simon... More

We went to Guangdong Guest House with friends on january because our student hostel was not opened when we arrived in HK. The Chungking Mansions are quite crowded, and you might sometimes wait a bit before you can get into an elevator. Also, take care about your belongings, as the place is well-known for it's scammers and pakistanese men who... More
