Best thing is the location. I guess they're all like this in HK in terms of hostels. I've been in some poor ones but none quite as small as this. It is clean and bedding is changed daily but you won't realise until you see just how small it actually is. If i was to go again as a couple... More

Where do I begin? Firstly for HK and such a good location this is a great price but my God what a place. On arrival you will need to get passed all the touts at the entrance there are so many of them you can't access the building easily. Then you walk through a market and money exchange centre that... Room is very small. Bath room not clean. The elevator was not working. You have to wait 10-15 mins just to get up or down. Elevator can only accomodate 7 persons. The owner was very rude. Very unpleasant smell upon entering the building.

Over the last couple years I've stayed a night of two in a total of five or six different hostels in Chungking Mansions, and Yan Yan is marginally better than the rest of them.
