The lobby has an overwhelming scent -- too powerful of a carpet cleaner or something. I stayed here twice and there are definitely newer and older rooms. The wifi is reliable and if your room's wifi isn't great, just connect to a neighboring room's since the password is the same. Breakfast buffet is ok. There is construction going on right... More

We flew in to Chongqing from a very hot and humid Hong Kong to be met by a very hot, humid and polluted Chongqing. Thus, it was lovely to be able to relax after an afternoon of sightseeing in an attractive hotel that had amenities at international standards. As is this case in much of China, there is not a... Stayed here for 3 nights and apart from the position, had nothing going for it.The room was very ordinary for the price. The front desk staff need to undertake a course in public relations. We attempted to pay the bill with cash but the receptionist knocked back a note which had a crease in it.We sat in the coffee/bar area to relax and... Stayed at this hotel for a week in june 2015. It is 17 years old this year, and it certanly looks that way. The staff are very kind and helpful, but the fact that very few, if any, of them speak English, pulls in the negative direction. The rooms, lobby and area around the hotel are clean and tidy. And... Decided to see a new part of China and picked Chongqing for no particular reason. Decided on this hotel based on reviews vs price and overall very happy with my selection. Check in and check out went smoothly but why do staff persist in talking to other guests when they come up and interrupt your conversation? I know that this... More

Harbour Plaza is a good hotel in the centre of Chongqing, in front of the liberation monument with a shopping mall linked to the hall. Nice rooms, good food even at the buffet. No noise coming from the outside but unfortunately no free wi-fi in the lobby but a cable access in room.

Harbour Plaza is an hotel much tidy. The personnel are very available. Only one open point is the not all employee speek englisch language. It's in 80's style. International breakfast. The internet connection is very slow.

Another hotel with five stars (allegedly). One cannot help but feel that the Chinese have almost got it right but they are not quite there. This hotel is well situated, but the bar area is very small for the amount of rooms, and internet is only available in that bar area and nowhere else in the hotel. Rooms are okay... More

I stayed here on business so didn't have a choice of hotel. It is very well located in terms of the CBD but since I did not do any tourist things while there I am not sure what its location is in relation to that. It is just near a pedestrian mall and there are plenty of shops, bars and... More

We spent three nights at this hotel whilst in Chongqing.our experience left a lot to be desired... To start with, this supposed five Star rated establishment has no central area in the foyer where one can sit and relax whilst checking emails(wifi hopeless in rooms). There are only two shabby sofas in the lobby, which were always full of people waiting... More
