Of all the Hotels we stayed in during a 2 week holiday in China this was the least attractive. The location is ideal. Close to major sights and pedestrian shopping street and street food market. The Hotel needs some tender, loving care. Our room was dingy. Curtains were kept closed because the external view was so gloomy and dirty. Not... More

I had move here from holiday inn downtown Beijing after an extremely hot and uncomfortable experience and was delighted with this hotel. The room was big and spacious, I had air con! ( really important because the last place was hot and stuffy), modern decor and a short 5 min walk to the middle of Wangfujing. It is a little... More

This hotel has a great location, is very beautiful, has very helpful and friendly staff. The night market with its street food, the forbidden city and shopping street are in very close walking distance. Also we were able to book our Great Wall of China Tour directly here at the hotel for a good price (350 yuan for a full-day... More

Great location between the Forbidden City and Wangfujing, with each only a few blocks away. Easy walking distance to the hutong neighborhoods as well. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable, with a glass door opening onto a small bamboo garden. The bathroom was fine as I was traveling solo, but I agree with other reviewers that you would need... Location is great. Hotel ok. The lobby is disappointing, the welcome a little cold and stiff. The room was large (even for two adults + 2 children) and had everything we needed but was not very clean. The price reasonable. Wifi only worked in the lobby. Would we stay again? Probably, but would first explore other options.

My wife, two baby girls and I stayed for one night while on a tour to Beijing and The Great Wall. The Fashion Family Room was comfortable and a good size so wasn't too cramped with the extra beds laid out although it was a little dusty. Only real complaint is that the ground floor smoking room was vented onto... More

Here en route for a couple of days. The Kapok offers so many pleasures at a reasonable price. My room opened to a small bamboo garden with seating and the hotel interior atrium is a dazzling light display that you won't forget. A good restaurant here and be sure to explore the nightly extravaganza just down the road where dozens... More

Good stuff: Convenient to tourist sights. Helpful staff - one even set me up a local email site. Gmail is banned along with rest of Google. Room was good size. Other stuff: Room was a bit gloomy because the whole buildings covered in a sort of lattice exterior treatment which lessens the light coming in. Only one bedside lamp. A... More

The hotel staff where very friendly, even though they did´t speak any english. I arrived without any reservation and they had a room rady for me in a few minutes. The room was very spacious and nice. The location is superb as it is very near the Tianmen square, the Forbidden city, mayor metro stations and the Sky heaven temple.

I stayed here with my mother during our three day trip to Beijing. The hotel has a great central location, which makes sight-seeing very convenient. There are several restaurants right across the street, which was nice when we came home in the evening feeling tired. The room was clean and airy. The little gardens in between the rooms provide a...
