...Extremely cold rooms in summer, some too cold, we switched our room twice but still could not find comfortable thermostat settings. Staff....Ok at best- not professional. Very weird/sketchy and impolite. Room size... Very small. Not enough space for big luggage. Bed.... Decent but a little hard. Cleanliness... Poor, not clean / housekeeping will try to avoid cleaning your room to... More

I asked the front desk for a recommendation on where to go while i was waiting for my friends, The girls name was Ethel, as previously mentioned by a reviewer named Geng B. I also know it is her, because Geng B mentioned she loved cartoons and when I initially asked her about a recommendation, she said she was watching... More

This was my worst experience in China, I have been living here for more than one year and I haven't seen such impolite staff, they don't answer emails, the room was humid even my clothes into the luggage stayed wet, the bathroom was old, the sink and grille were clogged, the wifi didn't work in the first floor, the sight... I booked a room through the hotel website. The lady at the desk (who spoke adequate English) was not aware of my reservation and even asked if breakfast was included. Their website states that rooms come with breakfast. But one look at the breakfast and I was not impressed. I skipped it each day. The location is good, the WIFI... More

I slept in this hotel/guesthouse for 5 nights and found it comfortable. The position is perfect, 2 minutes walking to the subway and in a quiet alley of a hutong neighborhood with many small restaurants and bars. The Bell and Drum towers are in walking distance. About the rooms, if you are familiar with the far east guesthouse standard, the... More

Traveling from Korea we notice many Americans and other "laowai" from different countries use this hotel, main reason because it is a unexpensive place to stay a few nights. While in beijing me and my friends stayed here 14 nights. We liked the location but not anymore than the location. The staff did not speak korean ,obviously, but did speak decent... More

We loved this hotel. It is in a great location - close to major tourist sites, easy access to the Metro, and it was great fun to be in a hutong. There are many good restaurants nearby on the main street around the corner. It is clean and basic. The photo of the rooms they post are accurate. The staff... More

Stayed for 4 nights, got a room in basement(?) brick wall otuside our window- but made me actually happy because I didn't have to be worried about getting robbed in this neighbourhood. Rooms were ok, cleaned very day, bit dumpy and stinky in the air, bathroom could be renewed, couldn't flush toilet paper in the toilet and had to wait... More

The room is small and always stinky. There's no window in the room . The sheets are dirty and first day we didn't have towels until 6 pm. They have wi fi in rooms but that's just the name. Wifi doesn't work properly. Workers speak English but can discuss you in front of you in Chinese.
