This is a review for a 7 day stay in October 2014. I thought the hotel was clean with comfortable bed/bedding. Bathroom was acceptable although I would have liked a western bathroom with a bathtub. It's about 5 minutes of walk to subway line #2 which is three stops away from the airport train. On the other hand, it's kind... More

I hate to say it,But though the location is really good, This place is really sketchy. The staff do a great job making this place have a bad vibe to it. I can testify that what other people have said is true. Another reviewer stated that he had been taken by a tea scam. The same thing happened to us,... More

you get what you pay for, this is a budget travellers hotel/ hostel so don't go expecting luxury! Our twin bedded room was clean, comfortable with an ensuite western bathroom. It was cleaned daily. We stayed for two weeks here in September ( with three nights away in Xian ). It is hard to find......... Three separate taxis all took... More

Overall, this was a good wee place to stay in. We spent a week here when we 1st arrived in China. To begin with, it wasn't easy to find so if you're unsure on how to get there, get the subway to Guloudajie station on line 2, take exit G which is also sign posted for line 8 transfer. When... More

The hotel was a bit tattered but the room was clean and adequate. The AC seemed to operate on the cool side but was manageable. I had been to Beijing before and did not have to depend on the staff for information which was probably a good thing as I did have a bit of a problem communicating with them.... More

...Extremely cold rooms in summer, some too cold, we switched our room twice but still could not find comfortable thermostat settings. Staff....Ok at best- not professional. Very weird/sketchy and impolite. Room size... Very small. Not enough space for big luggage. Bed.... Decent but a little hard. Cleanliness... Poor, not clean / housekeeping will try to avoid cleaning your room to... More

I asked the front desk for a recommendation on where to go while i was waiting for my friends, The girls name was Ethel, as previously mentioned by a reviewer named Geng B. I also know it is her, because Geng B mentioned she loved cartoons and when I initially asked her about a recommendation, she said she was watching... More

This was my worst experience in China, I have been living here for more than one year and I haven't seen such impolite staff, they don't answer emails, the room was humid even my clothes into the luggage stayed wet, the bathroom was old, the sink and grille were clogged, the wifi didn't work in the first floor, the sight... I booked a room through the hotel website. The lady at the desk (who spoke adequate English) was not aware of my reservation and even asked if breakfast was included. Their website states that rooms come with breakfast. But one look at the breakfast and I was not impressed. I skipped it each day. The location is good, the WIFI... More

I slept in this hotel/guesthouse for 5 nights and found it comfortable. The position is perfect, 2 minutes walking to the subway and in a quiet alley of a hutong neighborhood with many small restaurants and bars. The Bell and Drum towers are in walking distance. About the rooms, if you are familiar with the far east guesthouse standard, the... More
