I was a solo traveller amd stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The location is about 10 minutes walk to the subway stop. It is set in one of the Hutongs( back alleys) off the main street and very hard to find. The streets around this area always smelled like sewage due to abundance of public bathrooms.Make sure someone... more

We found ourselves stuck at Beijing airport as we had subload tickets and it was a national holiday.Luckily we met a stewardess from Cathay Pacific in the same boat. She took us to the Hutong Inn, having rung her uncle, and negotiated a deal even though it was the last room available. At 220 Ruan/night for 2 B+B it was as... more

I had difficulty adapting myself to the chaotic energies I found in Beijing. I expected a calm zen filled experience but was immediately greeted by a torrent of persistent demands for my attention. The Hutong Inn was a marvellous escape from it all. We got picked up from the airport for 200 RMB (Very overpriced) by the manager of the... more

My expectations for this hotel were quite high based on the reviews I had read. Though the location is quite nice, the walls are not thick enough to allow you to sleep through the noisiness of the early-morning hutong. The heating was only available at night and the rooms were not particularly clean. Do not expect rooms to be served... more

Paid 240y/nt for 6 nights. We changed rooms before the 1st night was over. Room 116, street level, was too close to the alley and very noisy. I think also the fact it was on the 1st floor, it may have had some gnats or fleas. I got a couple of bites on my leg within an hour of laying... more

I have just returned from a week at the Hutong Inn, Beijing. My experience about this hotel was great. The hotel is situated in a quite alley (Hutong) but so close to the main road where all kind of transport is readily available 24/7. The rooms are small and clean and the bed was quite comfortable. They got in-room Wifi... more

This place was great. We paid about 20 euro for a double room with bathroom. It's a really nice hotel but with a bit of vibe. The room was big enough, had a tele, was well furnised and the bathroom was finished to perfection, although a bit small. The staff were super helpful. There was a sitting area outside where... more

Interesting to wander around hutong area Close to subway making easy access to Beijing sights Rooms small but very clean and have private bathroom and english speaking TV channels. Breakfast adequate with lots of hot coffee, fruit, toast eggs and chinese pastries Pleasant outdoor courtyard to meet other travellers The staff at this hostel are... more

We loved our stay at this hotel. It is literally 250 meter from the metro station and also within good proximity to sights like the Drum Tower (you can see the top of the tower from the hotel). We had a double-bed room with a private ensuite and it was wonderful. The room was big, easy to manouver around with... more
