It was our first time in Beijing and we had booked the hotel on Hotels.com. The lobby was huge and full of Chinese Heritage Relics and the staff was good as well, although some of them had a hard time understanding what we were saying. The location was GREAT, its just behind the Food Street and Wafungjing avenue and about... More

The room we stayed (me and my son) was nice with a view of the famous ChangAn Ave. We stayed for three days and were quite pleased with it. The staff members were friendly. The only thing I felt bad was the hotel restaurent which was located in the lower level where the waiters tried to overcharge us and they... More

Stayed 6 nights in Beijing Hotel with extended families last month. That was my second stay in this hotel in a year. Chose this hotel mainly because of the location which was convenient to the eateries, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen. The hotel is steeped in history but it needs modernisation. During my last stay at this hotel I got... More

historical with a fine balance of modernization. Best location in the city. The most famous one for all reasons! More

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. It was very expensive for what we expected to pay in China (we thought our money would go further) but it was well worth it! The location was ideal. We were a brisk walk from the closest metro stop, less than a ten minute walk from the main entrance of the Forbidden... More

Doesn't deserve some of the bad reviews in my opinion. The checkin anbd check out were both efficient. The reception staff were formal and their English wasn't all that good but they did a decent job. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our bathroom needed some redecoration and the bath was slow to fill. The lifts were remarkably quick and... More

This was one of my worst hotel stays ever, and I've stayed in A LOT of hotels. It came recommended by some local Chinese colleagues who felt its proximity to our offices was ideal - NOT! Although the hotel itself is centrally located and just next to Wangfujing, the main downtown shopping area, the service is horrendously rude and lacking... More

I have stayed here several times. It is a great location for you to see most of the major tourist sites in Beijing. You can walk to most of them, and have a safe night shopping trip as well. Great for groups, easy access, and friendly service. More

+ very big rooms + cheap Internet access in the room - Rooms were not in any good condition. Most carpets (in rooms and corridors) need to be replaced. They were full of stains. So were the furniture in the rooms. - The staff at the reception are just rude, unfriendly, and not professional. We waited more than half and... More

I'm not too sure why this hotel has a 5 star rating: rooms are mediocre and extremely boring, breakfast is always the same and nothing special, prices of drinks in the hotel bar are way too high for what is offered. Service is limited and sometimes even quite bad (stand in line for more than half an hour for check... More
